Hello IMBBians,

Today, I’ll be sharing another Jordana product, a lip liner in Maroon. Since it’s winter (although it doesn’t seem so), I thought of buying some darker lip colors. Lets see how this one works for me:

Price: INR 149 for 0.85g.

My experience Jordana Lipliner in 43 Maroon:

Packaging:

It comes in a wooden pencil form with a silver cap that fits snugly. The body has many stickers (of which, I’m not a fan). The body is the same as the liner’s colour, so it can be easily spotted in your make up stash. The shade number, name and some other details are printed in silver as well. Overall, simple, no fuss, travel-friendly and sleek packaging.

Colour:

The shade name says ‘Maroon’ but on the first swipe, it looks like a darker shade of pink. Only when you swipe it several times, does the maroon appear. It’s not too deep a maroon, it’s a lighter version. It’s an Indian shade i.e would suit all warm skin tones.

Texture:

The texture is smooth, glides well but with some tugging and the liner is drying on the lips. It settles in the fine lines on the lips, giving them a somewhat chapped look. I wish it were a little creamy.

Pigmentation:

As mentioned earlier, the deposit on first swipe isn’t much. But the colour can be built up easily. And if gloss is applied to it, the colour intensifies to a dramatic maroon.

Staying power:

Most liners get easily smudged if tried to be used like a lip stain, after smudging the color a bit, immediately after application. However by some miracle, it doesn’t smudge after some time. Weird, I know! It stays on the lips for two hours without meals. It fades evenly.

Smell/Taste:

It smells very faintly of some chemical, but it isn’t that noticeable. It doesn’t taste like anything.

2. Easily available in beauty centers with nice discounts.
3. Awesome shade for the winters.
4. Will suit all skin tones.
5. Sleek packaging.

Cons of Jordana Lipliner in 43 Maroon:

1. Low staying power.
2. Drying on the lips.
3. Settles in the fine lines on the lips.

Final Verdict on Jordana Lipliner in 43 Maroon:

The shade is great, suitable to all skin tones and it’s affordable too. If you do not mind applying a lip balm or gloss for some mositurization, this one is a good buy.
