Jordana Matte lipstick 28 Natural and 30 Mystery: Review, Swatches
I have already confessed I indulged in a major haul from cherry culture and no these are not part of my uk haul :stars: which im contemplating to share or not to share. My uk haul is already comprising of one whole suitcase . I happened to find great brands like famous by sue moxley, rimmel, loreal mineral line, boots natural collection, collection 200 at the superdrug, some skin care from simple and skin therapy and some john freida and tresemme stuff which are a must have if you visit uk. May be some Charles Worthington- I am not so sure what to get yet, and some household décor too from pound world I found in Manchester. All in all a great haul and I can add to it in the remaining four days :pompom:
Coming back to the cherry culture haul, I love matte creamy lipsticks and I wanted to try anything matte from cherry culture, thought I shouldn’t have as I got a whole bunch of nyx round ones, but I researched on the net and shortlisted some two names natural and mystery.the matte range, I wasn’t sure about the non matte range from jordana as it may have some frosts and glossy lippies or something so I stuck with these two . Now I think these are 2$ I totally forgot but please confirm from cherry culture before you order.
Jordana matte in 28 natural :
These lipsticks are thick and pigmented nevertheless for the price and offer a full 3.4 grams. They are smooth and not those drying types which set on the lips and fine lines and ry out with time in the name of a matte lippy. These are thick but yes they do look like some paint on the lips and not so moisturising in texture but not so uncomfortably drying as well. These are fine as matte but this particular color applies like a paste may be it’s the color but it looks like I have some paint on my lips. :silly: the color is beautiful but its impossible to wear it alone without mixing and matching with some other coral lippy. I usually mix it with some darker lippy though as it would look very orangey alone. It is not a nude lipstick for me.but still I love the color. Now here come the catch:THEY SMELL LIKE SOME CHEAP PAINT :yuck: the smell is overpowering making the lipstick unfit to be used. Sorry. I will not recommend any one to get it no matter how many pretty colors they may offer.
Jordana matte lipstick in 30 mystery:
This is a dark maroon color is very smooth and moisturising and not so unnatural or paint like . its very pigmented imo and not at all drying.it does not set or anything like lakme nine to five . this color can be compared to Colorbar desire jordana being the darker one. the color is very pretty and adds glow and life to the face and brigntens up complexion in my case. But again the smell! Cant bear the cheap chemically paint smell.
The smell is too much to bear. I will not recommend these to any one due to the same reason. The colors and the texture are no doubt pretty and its not at all drying for a matte lippy. The price is unbeatable but please jordana, you gotta make lipsticks that don’t smell, I will probably be picking up more of these in that case , if they rectify the smell!
