I have previously tried two lipsticks from this range of Jordana – “Matte Classy” and “Matte Frappuccino.” I enjoyed wearing both the shades and liked them (cool-toned pink of Matte Classy and neutral brown of Matte Frappuccino). I also liked the color payoff and the texture. Since Jordana has launched a few more shades in this range, I decided to pick up this “Matte Dare,” among the new shades, which is a pretty plum color lipstick.

My Experience with Jordana Modern Matte Lipstick Matte Dare:
This product comes in 24 different shades and the best part is that this brand thinks about almost all the skin tones and tries to cover a wide range of colors and shades, so that everyone can find at least one color that will suit their skin tone and complexion.
This lipstick comes in a retractable tube form (usual lipstick packaging). The casing is clear plastic except the bottom part of the tube which is the same color as the tube inside. The packaging does not feel very strong, it’s rather fragile, especially the cap, but it does not crack easy, contrary to what we see with Wet n Wild lipsticks; I guess this packaging will serve its purpose while it lasts. The quantity of this product is good, especially for $2.99, it is a big bargain.
“Matte Dare” is burgundy or wine in color. It has neutral undertones and can be worn by both cool and warm skin tones. I like this particular shade because it goes well with dark as well as subtle eye makeup. It is very soft and smooth to apply and I was surprised how well it glided on my lips.
It gives an opaque finish in one go and gives my lips a soft, matte finish. I then further layer it with a brown lipstick on one occasion and red on another. Both times, it performs well, gives more color to my lips, and increase the longevity of my lip color.
In conclusion, I would say that I am really happy with my purchase. You cannot go wrong with these Jordana beauties. They are affordable, have good color payoff, don’t dry out lips, and tehy add an opaque color to the lips. These lipsticks can be bought from stores but some shades can be bought online only since most shades sell out immediately.

Jordana has launched new shades in their matte lipstick range and they are worth trying out because – they are less than $5, and secondly, they have amazing color payoff, and above all they are opaque and comfortable to wear. They are definitely worth a try.
