Jordana Quickliner Eyes in Deep Wine Review

Jordana Quickliner Eyes in Deep Wine

Hi, the biggest problem with online shopping is that you may end up buying things mistakenly because no photo can match our own beautiful eyes. Well, I have been shopping online now a lot especially since I live in a place far away from city and naturally a few products do disappoint me even though I check all review sites and everything. I am reviewing one of them here. Hope you all find it helpful.

Product being reviewed: Jordana Quickliner Eyes in Deep Wine

Price: I found that the price of this product is around $1.49 in US and I got this from Coollifeshop for INR 135.

What the company website claims:

There were around 5 shades in coollifeshop. This is what is mentioned additionally –

Quickliner Eyes Pencil by Jordana defines like a pencil glides on smoothly like liquid eyeliner. It gives your beautiful eyes rich color in just one stroke. The pencil blends well after application. It lasts for longer time and does not bleed. These come with no-break formula.
Apply your Jordana’s Quick Liner Eyes Pencil appropriately to give your eyes a more dramatic look and make these look bigger. It is extremely easy to apply. The eyes pencil comes in many rich colors and is available in .006oz/.185g.
Best Suitable For:
All types of eyes

Tips & Tricks:
Give a soft definition to your eyes with Jordana’s Quick Liner Eyes Pencil. Select a eyes pencil shade that complements your eye color. Now close your one eye, hold it with your fingers and begin with the upper inner corner of your lid. Outline close to the lash line and continue to the outer corner. Follow the same technique if you want to apply the eye pencil on your bottom lash line. The line should be thin on the inner corner and thicker on the outer corner.
Ingredients: Okay, now this is where I have serious complaints because I couldn’t find the list anywhere, not on the pencil or not on any websites.

Shelf Life: Thankfully this was mentioned on the “Imported & Marketed by..” sticker added on the pencil by Coollifeshop and it’s a normal 2 years.
Packaging: Now, I don’t expect fancy packaging for a cheap product and it is not very attractive, but its sturdy, its plastic and it don’t break easily. I found that the cap gets loose very easily and tends to slip off but may be its just a rare case.

My Experience: Let me start by saying why I thought I will buy this pencil. I love wine-ish plum-ish berry-ish colors, though it don’t suit me that well. So when I read on Jordana website that this is a plum-brown color, I ignored the “brown” part and concentrated on “plum” part and got completely carried away by the name –Deep wine  As you can probably see from the swatch, its not a deep wine color unless you look at it very closely and in very bright lighting. It appears more of a deep cocoa brown. I could detect wine-ish color when I peered closely but who would take so much strain!!! I tried darkening the color by swiping it 2-3 times, but it ended up looking like a blacky brown shade, so I left it there.
Now, if it were just about the color, I would have said “Okay, mistake, still I have got a nice and cheap brown one”. But no, this pencil has got to be the worst eye pencil right after Lotus Eye pencil in Aqua green shade that is lying on my shelf un-used
swatch
It tugs, it hurts, it feels hard, and the color doesn’t come evenly- what more can I say about an eye pencil. I don’t know how long this lasts on lids, cos the moment I tried swiping it on my lids, I went “Owww Owww..” and went and bathed my eyes in water and soap. And, I would not try this even if it stays 24 hrs and it is gifted to me free. My skin is oily and it is usually easy to use any eye pencil, so I can only guess how hard it will be for some one with a dry skin. Photo is taken in bright light and after swiping for 6-7 times so, you can guess how brownis-black this looks in normal lighting

Pros of Jordana Quickliner Eyes

• Cheap -135rs, you can afford to get mistaken about the colors.
• Retractable pencil so no bother about sharpening [whether it will ever be used to need sharpening is a different question]

Cons of Jordana Quickliner Eyes

• Name of the shade is deceptive; it doesn’t come off as any wine color.
• It is hard to use, tugs on my lids and in general makes it hell to apply it
• The color doesn’t come off that easily or evenly [check the swatch]
• No ingredients list

My rating: 0.5 for being cheap and that is it…
Will I buy it again? Yes, if I hate some one and want to buy a gift to torture that person!

Jordana’s Easyliner was reviewed by Nupur [https://makeupandbeauty.com/jordana-easyliner-eyes-review/ ] and is pretty good & cheap, so may you can try that….

  6. i so liked the blackish wine color but eeekkkksss!! such a bad stuff.. I hate the tugging and pulling part of the liners and that’s the reason I quite like the fel liners. They never hurt the eye.
