My Experience with Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizing Wand:

Packaging:  I love the pretty rose gold tube. This product is basically a creamy highlighter in a stick format (similar to Benefits Watt’s Up) in a stick format that makes this very portable and travel friendly and does not take up much space in the makeup kit.

Texture and Highlight:  This is very creamy emollient highlighter. It has a very frosted sheen and is very similar in appearance to the Josie Maran Enlightment illuminizer – the liquid version (review coming soon) with the only difference being in the application method. The stick format makes for super quick and easy application. You just dab (not drag, as that will lift your foundation) some directly on the skin or use just your fingertips swirled on the stick and apply it on the parts of your face you would like to highlight.

Shade:  These Josie Maran highlighters come only in one shade, which is a beautiful peachy golden champagne shade (very similar to Becca Opal), which is universally flattering. Since it does have a good amount of warmth and color to it, girls with pale skin need to use it sparsely as it will give a very contrasting color against their skin. For all those with light-medium to deep skin tones, you can be as liberal with this as you like, depending on how much of a glow you like.

I did not find this highlighter to emphasize pores or feel too heavy or tacky on my skin. It sets quickly and does not move around and feels comfortable on my dry skin. Staying power is very good. It lasted 6-7 hours on me before I noticed fading.

Overall, out of all 3 versions of Josie Maran Enlightment trio I own, I find the wand version to be my favorite. I love the easy of application and the beautiful glow it gives. I will recommend this.

• Since it is emollient creamy highlight, I think it will be best suitable for dry skin than oily skin.
