– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Synthetic Fragrances
– Petrochemicals

Packaging: This clear refreshing rose water comes in transparent plastic bottle packaging with pump dispenser opening safely covered with cap. It might be tricky to answer if it is travel safe because of its bulky size and pump dispenser opening. It slightly smells of fresh rose which is very mild just apt for sensitive noses. Hence for me it won’t work as fragrance mist.. 😛

My Experience with Josie Maran Rosey Mist

We all own rose water in our beauty treasure isn’t it? I am not different from any of you who loves to use rosewater in daily skin care regime in any form as a toner, in face pack & so on. Since I am also blessed with oily acne prone skin, I always need a toner to control excess oil on my face and it holds true for any weather conditions. I tried The Body Shop tea tree toner, normal rosewater which worked well on my skin but these chilly winters are already ripping off my skin and it’s pathetic to think of toning skin without getting dried and scaly patches on skin while using TBS or any other toner. Moreover I never found pure natural rosewater after finishing my dabur gulabari rose water here. It is weird but really I haven’t found a decent rose water for my skin, all other rose waters only available in Indian store are either infused with garlic or lavender and they are used in foods which I don’t feel like using on my skin. Thankfully Josie Maran rose water came to my rescue. I use it after cleansing/ scrubbing on my face first and it never caused any drying effect on my skin. I felt my bruised skin always felt relief and hydrated instead. It works as a mild toner on my skin without over drying or exaggerating my skin issues. I do not expect it to brighten my face nor does it work as a luminous product; it is a rose water which refreshes & tones skin being gentle on sensitive skin as well. And it does helps in keeping skin oil free for good 4-6 hours along with my day cream, and I feel changing my day cream might affect effective hours of this rose water on my face. Luckily, it never broke me out nor irritated my skin. I wonder for it is very mild and hydrating to tone and soften my skin in winters but at the same time I feel it will work best in summers when I need a cool refreshing spritz for my face. I also tried it using as a body mist but it seems too mild to be used as a fragrance mist and this bothers me for I doubt how a product can be safe enough to be used on face when we use it as a fragrance mist?? However, it is more or less natural product and very delicate for sensitive skin even. I use it as hair spray and it actually works well with its mild smell not overpowering or nauseating. I rarely use make up on my skin but whenever I try my hands on makeup (once in a while) then I use this rose water as a setting spray and it works well though it is not comparable to UD makeup setting spray. I just spritz little rose water in my hands and dab on face with fingers for toning and for a refreshing change I spritz it directly over face and wipe with cotton or leave on. Thankfully it does not sting eyes, tried by me still I dab it with my fingers for toning my skin day/night. Perhaps I feel there is nothing I can dislike about this product except the fact that it is pricey as compared to normal rose water and it forms slight foam on shaking. I never used it in face packs, though I dab it over face prior of applying face packs and it works well. I would recommend it to all of you for it is gentle and safe enough for all skin types forgetting its high end price.. 😛
Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of Josie Maran Rosey Mist

• A light gentle refreshing rose water infused with goodness of rose oil
• It is a versatile product, we may use it as toner or fragrance mist or simply as a refreshing tonic for bruised, dried skin
• It did not broke me out nor irritated my sensitive acne prone skin
• A versatile product for any skin type beauty
• It does not sting on eyes when sprayed directly onto skin

Cons of Josie Maran Rosey Mist

• It seems pricey for replacing normal rose water in our daily skin care routine (though quantity is 120 ml which will last half a year):P
• I fear it forms foam on shaking, it is not 100 % natural rose water
• Using it as a fragrance mist slightly bothers me for how can same product be safe for face when we use it as a body mist, even the fragrance is too mild to be used as fragrance mist for me. 😛 however it works well as hair mist

Leaving these minor cons, I do not have any issue with this rosewater and I would love to try it in summers as well. I would say it might disappoint us at some point when we think of getting extra benefits out of its high end price when it actually works more or less like rose water. We don’t get rose water easily here hence for me it is must have at such price even, unless I visit India or someone kind enough visits us from India to get me rose water at cheapest price.. 😀
