My Experience with Jouer Bronze Rose Long-Wear Lip Creme Liquid Lipstick:
Packaging: This lip crème/liquid lipstick comes in a clear tube which is great to be able to spot the color you want from your collection. I don’t like how tiny the top handle is, which at times, can make it inconvenient to hold the wand comfortably. The wand applicator is a thin and precise doe-foot applicator.
Texture/Consistency: I do love the formula of these metallic liquid lipsticks from Jouer. They have a smooth and creamy consistency which glides on the lips without streaking or bunching up. The dry down time is not too short which gives you enough time to work with the lip color before it sets.
Feel on lips: I was surprised to find that the texture and feel of the metallic shades from Jouer are far better than the matte version. The metallics feel extremely comfortable and have considerably less of the powdery feel on the lips. They also do not emphasize the lines of your lips as much.
Shade and Finish: The shade “Bronze Rose” is described as a metallic cool deep rose. This is possibly my favorite shade out of all the shades I own. It is a flattering deep rose shade which is neither too red nor too pink, just the perfect in-between. Contrary to the description, I don’t find this shade to be cool toned. It has a multi-toned shift with a bit of pink, red, gold and silver all together in perfect harmony. There are no visible specks of shimmer but it has a beautiful metallic finish with no tacky or gritty feel. This shade will flatter anyone and everyone. If you had to pick only one shade of the Jouer line, I would highly recommend this one.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation and coverage is superb. One layer would give you complete opaque color with no need to layer on.
Staying Power: The staying power is fantastic. It lasts for a good 8-9 hours (even more if I would let it stay) with minimal snacking and drinking breaks. It can also easily last through a full meal provided it is not the oily sort.
Fragrance: This lip crème has a strong sweet scent, exactly like vanilla frosting. It smells yummy and does linger, so if you are sensitive to scents you may not like this.
Overall, I am very pleased with this product and particularly this shade is my absolute favorite. I absolutely love these metallic versions of the Jouer lip crèmes far more than the mattes. I highly recommend you check this range as they have some unique and stunning shades to offer.
