A while ago these liquid lipsticks were all over the Instagram and I wanted to try these. I had never heard of this brand before. Christina Zilber is the creator of Jouer cosmetics. This brand is based out of Beverly Hills, California. After trying out these for a while, I must say that I am quite impressed with the quality. Jouer offers a good shade selection in this range; this review is about the shade ‘Cabernet’.

My Experience with Jouer Cabernet Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick:
Jouer liquid lipsticks are packaged in a very sleek and sophisticated clear packaging. Even though it a plastic packaging, it looks like glass packaging. One side of the packaging has a groove; all her makeup products connect to one another in some way. So, for example, if you purchase a blush, highlighter or eyeshadow, then you can connect all things together. It is a very unique concept. The applicator is a short and fluffy doe foot one; it gets into the corners of the lips perfectly, offering precise application.
The shade Cabernet is a matte deep red colour. This shade is a part of their fall collection. It is a universally flattering shade that’s perfect for winters too. This shade is suitable for all skin tones and looks best with neutral eye makeup. But this shade is not apt for office in my opinion. This is a highly pigmented shade that delivers full color payoff in just one swipe.
Still, the lipstick tends to fade with heavy meals. You need to exfoliate your lips prior application to get the best finish. The lip color is very comfortable and does not dry out the lips. In fact, it feel quite comfortable throughout the wear time. It does not crack or settle into the fine lines of the lips.
The formula feels very lightweight on the lips and has a whipped texture. Thus, it glides on effortlessly. The formula is comfortable on the lips and non-drying too. The product doesn’t dry out too quickly on the lips, so you can get enough time to even out the application. These liquid lipsticks have a sweet, vanilla scent which fades after the application. This lip color does not feather or bleed but the staying power is around 7.5 hours. It does not pull during application.
