As a beauty enthusiast, I always look for good quality facial products. My hunt for good facial scrub never ends. Lately, I came across the Jovees 24K Gold Ultra Radiance Face Scrub and thought of giving it a try. Gold has been used since ancient times for its beautification and healing properties. It can be used to treat a variety of skin problems. When I read about this product online, I was amazed with its luxurious features. Now, let’s get into the review.

Directions for Use:
Apply a sufficient quantity all over face and neck. Massage gently for 2-3 minutes upward and downward strokes. Wash off with plain water.

My Experience with Jovees 24K Gold Ultra Radiance Face Scrub:

The 24K gold range from Jovees has a range of luxurious facial treatments to offer. They have face wash, face mask, face scrub, moisturiser and massage gel all specially formulated with gold leaf particles to give your skin the much needed golden glow.

The Company designed the packaging of the product as per the golden theme and the entire packaging has a touch of luxurious feel to it. This facial scrub comes in a transparent tub with a golden screw cap over it. This tub comes inside an outer cardboard covering which has gold colour detailing on it with vertical prints. The design looks very classy yet simple. Initially, the cardboard box comes sealed with cellophane paper to prevent tampering with the packaging. The cap is a regular screw-on cap that closes securely in place. There is no unwanted spillage of the product. The brand name, product details are written in green fonts which give a luxurious and classy feel to the packaging. The size of the tub is medium and it can be carried easily while you are travelling. Overall, I love the packaging of the product and it is travel-friendly too.

The quantity offered is just 50 gm. for Rs.345 which I feel is quite expensive. Still, I cannot blame the brand because, the scrub is enriched with gold particles. But, if you look for other facial scrubs in the market, you will get double this quantity at a lower price value.

The facial scrub is yellowish golden in colour and has fine delicate granules in it. When applied on the skin, it spreads quite evenly to cover the entire face. The fine granules in the scrub are very delicate and they don’t feel harsh on the skin when massaged.

The scrub smells very refreshing yet very exotic. It is very soothing to the senses. For me, the smell is not bothering at all, but if you are not fond of fragrances in facial products, it could be overwhelming to you. This fragrance does not linger around after you have washed your face. So, I’m sure it will not be a concern for people with sensitive noses too.

The ingredient list contains all luxurious constituents which are quite beneficial to nourish and remove dead cells from the skin. It is enriched with extracts of jojoba, wheat germ oil, and rosewater, glycerine that will provide good nourishment to skin and won’t let your skin feel parched.

The scrub has a gel-like consistency which is slightly semi-runny, loaded with shimmery gold particles and little pigments of gold coloured granules. It just looks so glittery and blingy. The product has jelly consistency so it might lead to more product usage than normal. The fine scrub granules feel non-coarse on skin on massaging. After applying the scrub, these granules do not disappear to get absorbed into the skin completely. You will experience a luxurious skin exfoliation treatment at the comfort of your home.

Such kind of gold treatments are apt for festive occasions and parties where you want an instant radiance. Usually, when we go out for gold facials, they prove out to be quite expensive. But if you splurge on the entire gold range from Jovees, you will get it in a cheaper rate and following all the steps sequentially can help you do gold facial at home itself.

Usually before I begin the process of scrubbing, I use a steam treatment on my skin so that the pores get loosened up easily. This also helps in easy removal of blackheads and whiteheads. Following that, I take a pea-sized amount of the product and massage on my face in circular upward directions for about 5 minutes. After keeping for a minute more, I use my blackhead removing tool to get rid of these unwanted blackheads and whiteheads. My skin has tendencies of whitehead accumulation near the nose and chin area, so I focused on these areas more. Then, I washed off the product with lukewarm water. This product is easy to rinse off as well but it leaves behind a slight slippery feeling to the skin due to its gel like texture.I just enjoyed the glittery gold exfoliation treatment on my face. Usually, I follow up with a moisturiser but with this scrub I didn’t feel the need of additional nourishment. But if you want to follow the regular CTM routine, you can do so.

Now, coming to how the product fared for me. First of all, I loved using this scrub because I love gold infused skin care products. The texture of the scrub felt like molten gold liquid and it was so refreshing to use it. During summer, my skin looks very tired and lifeless. This scrub made my face squeaky clean. It leaves my skin so soft, smooth and moisturised. It successfully wiped off the surficial dead cells as per the claims. It unclogged pores and removes dirt and impurities effectively. As a result of which it helped to reveal a much smoother and clearer complexion. My face looked lot brighter in the very first go. All thanks to the golden glitter particles in it!!

This facial scrub gives a radiant look to the skin. It even brightened and refined my skin to a great extent. The glow was not golden but it looked healthy and provided a boost of nourishment to my face. My face felt rejuvenated and I was loving the experience. This effect lasts for about 2-3 days depending on the tiredness your skin goes through. I have a tendency of having dry patches after using a scrub. But, this scrub provides good hydration and it did not dry out my skin. This gentle scrub is well suited for dry skin beauties. This scrub works well as a base skin treatment before starting off with any makeup application.

One of the cons of the product is that it is not very good in removing tough blackheads. The blackheads near my nose areas did not go off though the area felt much smoother than before. With regular use, the results might be more promising but it will be too early to comment on that since I used it for 2 weeks only. I use this product thrice a week and it will last me for about 2 months. In addition to that, it suited my skin well and did not break me out.

This product performs fairly well as a facial scrub and feels very gentle on the skin. It is a good exfoliator but performs badly for blackheads. Other than that, it has no big demerits.It gave an instant glow to my skin which I loved. The performance is nothing extraordinary but then again I love gold, so I am kind of partial towards this product. If you love gold as well, you can surely try this out. Overall, it is a fine daily scrub for all skin types.
