My Take on Jovees Insta Fair Pack:
My occasional breakouts leave me with dark spots. So, I wanted a pack which could work on them. This Jovees pack was recommended by a very pushy SA, she told me she will even take it back if I don’t like it. So, I thought I should give this a shot 😛 😛 😛
I have mixed feelings for Jovees products, some of them I have really liked and some have been absolute duds. Read on further to know which list this pack got added to.
The Jovees Insta fair pack comes in white and yellow coloured, just regular tube type packaging. The pack is light cream in colour and has the fragrance predominately of sandalwood and also of Fullers Earth (multani mitti).
It’s a thick consistency pack, so I suggest you dilute with some water/toner. I like to use it as it is (I want to finish off this tube fast :P)
I apply a thick layer of it which dries in 10-15 minutes. The pack gives a slight tingling sensation on my face and has a very chemical-ish feel.
As its immediate effect, I see a clean face with no trace of oil/greasiness left behind and just some amount of glow. I notice it draws out moisture from the face completely and gives a stretchy feel, so I need to spritz some toner.
With my experience and usage, I can tell you that it has just slight immediate effect on the skin, but it does nothing to your skin even with continuous use. It claims to have liquorice extract which is believed to give whitening effect (I would rather have liquor+ice and get high 😀 😀 :D)
While I was not seeking any fairness/whitening from it, I expected this to at least lighten some of my dark spots, but it failed at that too. I notice this even breaks me out, :spank: :spank:
Overall, I sum it as another entry to the dud list. I would neither repurchase, nor recommend this. I would rather make a homemade pack with all natural ingredients.
Pros of Jovees Insta Fair Liquorice Clay Pack:
- Removes oil/greasiness completely.
- Gives a slight glow to the face (which stays for some hours only).
- Tube-type packaging makes it easy to use.
- Inexpensive.
- Easily available.
Cons of Jovees Insta Fair Liquorice Clay Pack:
- Does nothing for your skin even when used over a good period of time.
- Has a chemical-ish feel/seems high on chemicals.
- I have sensitive skin and it breaks me out.
- Gives a stretchy feel post washing this off.
