Jovees Skin Rejuvenation Fruit Facial Kit Review

Jovees Skin Rejuvenation Fruit Facial Kit Review

Here’s another facial kit I bought 😛 Well, I love picking up facial kits in all sizes and across all brands. Though I would love to get facials done at parlours from professionals, good salons are a bit far away from my place.  Well, that’s not a good reason enough, I do love getting facial kits to play with 😛 Here’s a fruit facial kit from Jovees I found online.

Product Description:

Product Description

Jovees Fruit Facial Kit for your skin shall provide many benefits.  This kit contains six products and each product has been designed with utmost care using precious herbs and avocado extracts that have natural properties to rejuvenate the skin and give glow to the skin.  The major fruit extracts used include papaya, apple, banana, avocado. The enzymes in the papaya helps to remove dead and flaking skin, bananas help moisturize the skin.  Generally, fruit facials nourish the skin with essential vitamins and provide antioxidant protection.

Rs. 685 for a kit.

Fruit Facial

My Take on Jovees Skin Rejuvenation Fruit Facial Kit:

There are six medium-sized 50 gm tubs in the kit comprising the Citrus and Blackberry Cleanser, Honey and Almond Facial Scrub, Papaya and Pineapple Massage Cream, Witch Hazel and Basil Skin Toning Gel, Apple and Avocado Fruit Face Pack, and Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Rejuvenating Face Cream.

The first step is applying the cleanser.

Citrus and Blackberry Cleanser:  A natural gentle facial cleanser that contains precious botanicals and herbal extracts that helps lift away impurities and dull surface cells to improve all over skin clarity. It deep cleanses the skin, keeps complexion even toned and achieve a clear matte skin.

Citrus and Blackberry Cleanser

How To Use:  Massage into the skin for two to three minutes and wash thoroughly with plain water or remove with wet cotton swabs.

Active Ingredients:  Lemon extract, Rosemary essential oil, Sunflower oil, Blackberry, Coconut and Almond oil.

The cleanser is a thick white creamy base that I massaged into the skin for 2 minutes and wiped off with a wet wash cloth. The cleanser smells strongly herbal.

The second step is applying the scrub.

Honey and Almond Facial Scrub:  Skin care is incomplete without a scrub.  A facial scrub ensures that your skin is free from any dead skin and dirt.  This scrub has been developed using high quality granules along with herbal and fruit extracts to give you a fresh and radiant skin.  This facial scrub ensures that you have healthy breathing skin on the face, and that the natural moisture and glow of your face does not go dull.

Honey Scrub

How To Use:  Apply all over face and neck and gently massage into the skin for two minutes and wash with plain water or use moist cotton swab to take it off.

Active Ingredients:  Honey, Almond Oil, Wheatgerm oil, Walnut shell powder, Strawberry, Orange peel powder.

This is a very mild scrub with walnut granules that are not at all coarse, however, they do a very good job at scrubbing.  The fragrance of this scrub is very fruity.  I wish I had got more quantity in the tub.

Papaya and Pineapple Massage Cream:  Papaya and Pineapple contain enzymes that soften and heal the skin.  This scentifically developed massage cream contains precious herbs along with vitamins that restores a smooth radiance and collagen elasticity to the skin.  It will help in cell renewal process, remove dead epithelial cells, helps increase cell turn over leaving skin radiant and luminous.

Massage Cream

How To Use:  Massage gently using circular strokes for 20 minutes using plain water or raw milk to massage into the skin.  Remove with moist cotton swab or wash thoroughly with plain water.

Active Ingredients:  Papaya Enzyme, Wheatgerm, Avocado, Pineapple extract, and vitamin E.

Face Massage Cream

I love the scent of massage cream; however, it is very thick and I didn’t dare use it for massage.  Instead, I used Brihan’s aloe vera gel in this step.

Next, one is the toning process with Witch Hazel and Basil Skin Toning Gel.

Witch Hazel and Basil Skin Toning Gel:  A unique natural formulation developed for all skin types.

This natural gel based skin toner cleanses and closes up pores, tones the skin, tightens tissue to leave skin clean and clear.

Toning Gel

How To Use:  Apply a small quantity all over face and neck.  Gently massage for 2 to 3 minutes and wipe off with moist cotton swab or wash with plain water.

Active Ingredients:  Witch Hazel, Basil, Aloe Vera, Cucumber extract, and Honey.

The toning gel is a nice green gel which smells strongly of cucumber.  I massaged it on my skin for 2 minutes and wiped off with a cotton swab.

Apple and Avocado Fruit Face Pack:  This fruit facial pack has been developed using nutritious blend of fruit extracts that include apple extract which is full of vitamin A and C, avocado extract is full of vitamin B, D, and E, and extremely good for moisturising and nourishing.  It gives a clear, radiant, and fresh look.

Fruit Face Pack

How To Use:  Apply a thick layer all over the face and neck, leave on for 20 minutes.  Wash with plain water or remove with moist cotton swab.

Active Ingredients:  Apple extract, avocado, peach extract, apricot.

Fruit Pack

This fruit pack is a heady mix of various fruits and is thick in consistency.  I left it on for 20 minutes and wiped it off with a wash cloth.  I loved the effect of the face pack.

Tea Tree with Witch Hazel Rejuvenating Face Cream:  This lightweight oil free formula enriched with sandalwood, vitamin A, C, and E and other precious fruit and herbal extracts that penetrates deep into the skin to induce a visible radiance.  It builds moisture barrier while protecting skin from the harmful effects of sun rays and shields skin from tanning.  Its skin texture renewal properties help to reveal fairer, smoother, and clearer complexion.

Face Cream

How To Use:  Apply a small amount of cream on face and neck.  Leave on.

Active Ingredients:  Sandalwood, Witch Hazel, Liquorice, Jojoba extract, and Tea Tree Extract.

Well, the face cream is a very mildly fragrant light cream which gets absorbed into the skin with light massaging. Well, I didn’t leave it on, I wiped it off with a wash cloth 20 minutes later.

Overall, I didn’t really fall for all the “this and that extract” claims, but it was a good experience using this kit. There are a few items from this kit that I would like to purchase if it were sold individually, like the scrub and the toner.  Before starting off, I kept the kit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes so that it would have a calming effect, believe me, it felt really good.  I still maintain that you should get a facial done at a professional salon only, but a little indulgence at home can be excused.  By the way, can you girls suggest me an electronic face massager, Neutrogena Wave received a bad rating from my sister, so I am not buying it, any other option?
