Hello lovely ladies ,
I finished my tube of sunscreen from Nature’s essence sun ban that I reviewed earlier. It was time to pick up another and I chose this. Since sunshine is at bay for now, I went for an SPF of 25. Let’s get to the review.

My experience with Jovees Sunscreen Fairness Gel SPF-25:
I like gels more than lotions since they sooth the skin and get absorbed easily. This sunscreen gel comes in a white tube with yellow accents that looks catchy. The tube has a yellow flip-cap. The tube is travel-friendly.
The sunscreen gel is enriched with aloe vera, chamomile and liqorice. These are the only things mentioned in the list of ingredients which is suspicious. The gel is yellowish in color and has a pleasant smell. The smell is not bothersome. The texture is like any other gel. A small amount is needed every time, to spread it. The gel is very soothing on skin and imparts a cooling sensation once it is applied. It takes some time to blend completely on skin which is a little bothersome when I am in a hurry. It gets absorbed easily after sometime and it hydrates the skin well.
It is a decent sunscreen and do not expect much from it. Like it mentions it does not provide a ‘high degree’ of protection, and my tanned arms are the proof. It protects for about 2 hours. After which you need to re-apply. I do not recommend it for exposure to severe sun for long hours. As far as the ‘fairness’ part is concerned, I’d say you shun it. If you’re looking for a decent sunscreen in the form if a gel without highly expecting from it, then this is for you.
Pros of Jovees Sunscreen Fairness Gel SPF-25:
• Travel-friendly packaging.
• Enriched with aloe vera and chamomile.
• Protects the skin for up to 2 hours.
• Sooths the skin apart from protecting.
• Gives a cooling sensation.
• Has an SPF of 25 which is decent.
• Fragrance is pleasant.
• I would prefer gel over lotions.
Cons of Jovees Sunscreen Fairness Gel SPF-25:
• Takes a little time to spread and get absorbed.
• I don’t know how it is a‘fairness’ gel.
• I won’t recommend this to severe sun exposure for long hours.
IMBB Rating: 4/5
Would I recommend/re-purchase Jovees Sunscreen Fairness Gel SPF-25?
Apart from the Lotus ones, this will be a good alternative and I definitely recommend it. I will move on to the Lotus or VLCC range after this, since I’ve hardly explored their range.

I would love to try a gel for sunscreen!
It’s a good sunscreen but I am pretty happy with the one I am using right now. I am very cautious while choosing sunscreens since my skin reacted once and I looked like a tomato for a while 😛
Dish, I prefer Melagard spf 50 any day since I tend to tan very easily.
