Jovees Winter Cherry Lip Care SPF 15 Review

Hello IMBBians 🙂

Winter is getting colder and colder each day in my city and I have been layering up as well. It is also taking a toll on my skin making it drier. Today’s review is a lip balm that I picked from Jovees. It is called Jovees Winter Cherry Lip Care with SPF 15.

My sister thinks that I have a hoard of lip balms that I need to finish (yes, she’s right :D) I am currently stocked up with lots of “Maybelline Baby Lips”. But, I decided to give my Baby Lips obsession a break and go for this one instead.

Price:

INR 105 for 4 gm.

Method of Use:

Apply a few strokes to your lips when you feel your lips are dry and need nourishment.

Claims:

Soothing care and long lasting protection for dry, chapped lips.

My experience with Jovees Winter Cherry Lip Care SPF 15:

Since, the last lip balm I got, VLCC Lovable Lips in Honey was a complete dud, I badly needed a good lip balm. I wanted my next lip balm to help me with my dry lips. The cherry flavour of this lip balm attracted me and I got it.

Packaging: The packaging is cardboard pack which keeps the lip balm tube safe. the pink stick comes in a plastic tube that can be twisted up and down easily. It is travel friendly and can be tossed into handbags.

Fragrance: The thing I love about this balm is the sweet fragrance; sensitive noses would love this mild aroma. But, the aroma does not linger for long and I would have loved it had it lasted longer.

Texture: The formula is very light and does not feel sticky or waxy at all.

Staying Power: Staying power is around one hour, which is the average time any lip balm would last with snacking and sipping water after which re-application is needed.

Shade: The stick looks vibrant but does not show up any tint. It is neither a tinted nor a non-tinted balm. There’s a very slight hue of pink that barely shows up and is literally invisible. I don’t have any issues about not giving any colour since, I mostly use this at night for these winters.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Jovees Winter Cherry Lip Care SPF 15?

Definitely! It worked well for me as it softened and moisturised my lips. I am happy with this product. I would love to re-purchase this in other variants as soon as I empty this one!

Conclusion:

I feel it will work well during summers as well, added the bonus SPF 15. It did moisturise my moderately chapped lips and reduced the flakiness. I don’t know to what extent it may work for beauties with severely chapped lips. On the whole, I love this lip balm a lot and will be seen using this all the time.

Take care.
