Rose Skin Toner

My Take on Jovees Rose Skin Toner:

Okay ladies, so currently I am in a “toner love” mode. I have been trying every single toner I can get my hands on. I have purchased over four toners from my local cosmetic store which I will review shortly and I have two on order from an online website.  Ouch, but yes, with the unpredictable weather, there is a lot more need to keep these toners in your fridge. I keep them all in the fridge and spray them so many times on my face. This is one of the toners which I have used a lot.  This toner has extracts of rose petals and chamomile to soothe the skin and is just a very pretty red bottle to look at. I am sure it has some artificial colour added to it, but as long as it does the job, I don’t mind. It also contains lemon grass.

Rose Toner

I think earlier I saw a packaging of this toner without the spray top, but as I am collecting almost all toners with the spray top, I bought this one as well.

This toner provides an instant cooling effect when applied.  It does seem to control my oil a little bit and it doesn’t dry or stretch out my skin.  The best thing about this toner is its smell. It smells of roses.  The smell is so mild and pleasant, it spreads. It is not overpowering at all.  It did not in any way harm my current acne and did not sting.  This worked well on normal skin and even when I had breakouts. I will not say it has worked much on my pores. I am yet to find a miracle toner which if used regularly in my skin care regime will benefit my large pores.

Pros of Jovees Rose Skin Toner:

  • It works to refresh the skin very well. Adds that perkiness to your skin and mood when used.
  • Travel friendly and summer friendly spray bottle, love it!
  • The colour red whenever I see it on my dresser every morning instantly brightens me up. These days I am in a red mode too. I have got red mugs, red rugs, red lipsticks and now red toners.
  • When sprayed on and used under make up does avoid the oil for a little bit longer.
  • The cap is tight and the bottle very cute.

Cons of Jovees Rose Skin Toner:

  • No complete list of ingredients is mentioned on the back.
  • Pretty red colour, some colour is added in this for sure.
  • It pretty much would do nothing for problematic skin.

IMBB Rating:

I would give it a rating of 3/5 for being a very average product. Nothing special.

  1. Hehe.. hello flygirl 🙂 Nice review.. I am currently using rose water from Avera. i got that after reading its review here on Imbb. it has not effected my pores but refreshes my eyes and skin alot 🙂

  2. Good to have you back 🙂
Very nice review – btw for enlarged pores have you tried using the Cl*nique Clarifying lotion? It worked wonders for me!

      1. I have very oily skin, so it feels like a nice cold compress on my skin and doesnt dry out my skin at all – its my life in summers!

          1. It doesnt come with a spray top, its like any regular bottle with an open mouth. I usually wet a cotton pad with it and dab it on my face, just a swipe is good enough to take away the oil, remaining makeup and grime.

  3. i love toners too. they are such great relief in this hot weather. I am not sure i want to give this a shot. a red color rose water does not sink in with me. 😛 but looks cute. 🙂

  4. Nice to have you back flygirl…..I have never tried Jovees ….with 3 stars i might not try this even in future , but the bottle looks captivating

  5. rati do there were more pictures of thsi bottle and the toner swatch .you might wana see and publish if you like 🙂

  6. I have started to follow CTM recently. Can we store the toners in fridge (as u had mentioned)?
I use nivea visage refreshing toner, and dabur gulabari rose water alternatively as toners. Nice review.

    1. offcourc you can sandhya.in summers its definitely better.watch out for the temperature range mentioned on your toner bottle(if any)but usually it is a yes!!!!if i were you i wouldn’t use dabur it is the worst one out there.try the rose water from khadi/patanjali for their purest form.even cheaper;)

      1. Ya Khadi is definitely the best. very mild just like the way Toners should be. some swear by the CTM routine while some say that Toners are not really reqd. think in the end its a bit of trial and error as long as you dont mess up the face much :). a pimple or two in this whole process is something one can live with i guess 🙂

        1. very right aru!khadi rose water is the purset i have found till date!!i wish i could just buy more of it and stock it up! and i think toners are skip-able if you want to.for me they are musttttttttttt!!!
