Joy Honey and Almonds Nourishing Body Lotion Review

I am a researcher/scientist by profession and I have to do a lot of work with harsh chemicals in the laboratory. Exposure to detergents and reagents leave my hands quite rough and dry. Earlier I used to apply Garnier’s Body Cocoon, but two to three times, I found it used up and laying out of my drawer. This kind of pissed me off as I am a very organized person and I do not like people using my things. So, I decided to keep the lotion of another brand which may keep them away from using it. I have already used one product from Joy Company and liked it very much, so I picked this one with certainty.
What the Product Claims:
Joy Honey & Almonds Nourishing Body Lotion contains generous doses of almond Oil & Honey along with Vitamin E & Aloe Vera to nourish and moisturize your complexion and keep your skin blemish free, leaving it smooth, healthy and glowing naturally. Nourishes, Softens, Moisturizes.
Honey moisturizes the skin making it smooth, healthy, firm & youthful. Almond oil protects the skin from dryness and wrinkles.
Ingredients:
Aqua, Mineral Oil, Glycerin, Glyceryl Monostearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Palmitate, Stearic Acid, Dimethicone, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Wheat germ Oil, Lanolin Anhydrous, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, Propylene Glycol, Potassium Hydroxide, Aloe Vera Gel, Fragrance, Honey, Almond Oil, CI 15985.
Directions: Apply daily all over the face and body.

My Experience with Joy Honey & Almonds Nourishing Body Lotion:
This body lotion is appropriate for my working environment as I have to wash my hands frequently. Altogether, it is a saving grace for me as my previous expensive hand lotions have been used by other people working with me. It deeply moisturizes my skin and leaves it soft for a fairly long time. The lotion gets well absorbed into my palms, but never makes it slippery. It is absolutely non-greasy and does not gather grime to my palms and fingers. I do use other creams and lotions back at home, but I think this is one of the best for my office use and I am going to stick to it.
What I Like about Joy Honey & Almonds Nourishing Body Lotion:
- Extremely moisturizing, does not clog pores, and is suitable for all skin types.
- Makes skin very soft and supple without adding greasiness to it.
- Keeps the skin moisturized for a very long time.
- Has a pleasing sweet smell that lasts for a long time.
- Contains pure herbal skin beneficial ingredients like Wheat Germ oil, Aloe Vera gel, Almond oil and Glycerin.
- Absolutely inexpensive and easily available.
- Hypo-allergic product, recyclable packaging and no animal testing.
What I Do Not Like about Joy Honey & Almonds Nourishing Body Lotion:
- The product claims to be “Pure Herbal,” but the ingredient list mentions a lot of chemicals in it.
- The nozzle shape is clumsy. Once closed, it becomes too tight to open. Also, a lot of lotion comes out when the lid opens with a jerk which leads to product wastage.
IMBB Rating:
4 out of 5 (minus 1 point because of the above cons).
Will I Repurchase?
Maybe I will buy it again if I do not find another product equivalent to it, but I will sure try some other lotions as well.
Recommendation:
If you are looking around for a body lotion which does a decent job and is also easy on the pocket, then this might be a good choice.

Hey ruchira nice review…I have used this lotion… I loved its fragrance at first.. and anything with almonds.. is a must buy for me.. I find it ok-ok type.. as i have super-dry skin and this one caters to the need for few hours..but i like it because it get absorbed without any effort and leave no gresy film on the skin.. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
Poo, they have a Honey Almond Gel which is better for dry skin. I use it for my hands and feet because they get extremely dry. 🙂

It is mostly used in beauty parlors and where I live it has almost replaced Ayur :hihi: and in my opinion too I find it better than Ayur :high5:
