Joy Skin Fruits Purifying Face Wash-Review

Joy Skin Fruits Purifying Face Wash-Review

Hi everyone,

Today, I am going to review a face wash which was bought at the spur of the moment. Actually, my HG cleanser Cetaphil had finished and when I went to buy it, the shop owner only had Joy Skin fruits with him. Considering the fact that I quite like Anushka Sharma who is the brand ambassador for this company I fell prey to the marketing gimmick and got this face wash instantly, read on further to find out how it fared.

product

My take on the product:

Packaging:

It comes in a translucent orange coloured plastic tube with a white flip-top cap. The cap clicks shut tightly.
Consistency:

It is white gel-like liquid with very small orange coloured granules, though meant for scrubbing but no scrubbing effect is felt on the skin. The consistency is on the thicker side, Hence, less amount is needed for cleansing the face. Water needs to be mixed in to dilute it a bit and spread evenly on the face. It does not foam much, only average.

Smell:

It smells citrus though not purely of oranges. The smell is not overpowering and does not stay for long once the face is washed.

Efficacy:

Well, this is the most important part of the review. I found the face wash to be average as in it did not do any wonders to my skin, dint treat the existing acne nor did it stop the new ones from appearing, but yes it did not aggravate the existing ones, I found my face to be clean and the skin did not feel dry at all like most of the oil-control face washes do. The skin remained oil free for 2-3 hours Also, I had to use a lot of water to wash it off the face, which was a pain.

Pros of Joy Skin Fruits Purifying Face Wash:

• Travel friendly sturdy packaging, translucent tube makes it easier to find out how much is left.
• Makes skin clean and soft.
• Does not dry out the skin.
• Small amount is needed for the entire face.

Cons of Joy Skin Fruits Purifying Face Wash:

• Contains SLS.
• Did not control the new acne formation.
• Requires lot of water to remove.
• Has a citrus smell which seems artificial.

Will I repurchase?

No, not really.
