Joya Composition No. 6 Parfum Review

Product Purchased by IMBB

I have always wondered how perfumes used to look in the 70s, 80s or even earlier. Joya has been keeping the antique vintage feel alive. Joya offers a very few fragrances and I went for the one with woody notes, Composition No. 6.

Isopropyl Myristate, Parfum (Fragrance), Benzyl Benzoate, Linalool D’Limonene, Coumarin, Hydroxycitronellal, Lilial, Geraniol, Citronellol, Citral, Lyral
Packaging:
Joya Composition No. 6 Parfum comes housed in a stone type container which is hand crafted. Instead of the spray mechanism, there is a wand to apply the perfume. The wand is dipped in 22k gold to make it look very classy. The perfume has a rubber stopper on top so that the perfume doesn’t spill but you can remove it and put the wand inside the bottle as well. I am afraid that I will spill the perfume, so I prefer the stopper on. Overall, it’s a very different but quite heavy packaging.

My Experience with Joya Composition No. 6 Parfum:

I am not tired of alcohol-based perfumes but perfume oil is something new for me. Yes, you read it right, this is a perfume oil. The wand is used to apply the perfume. The scent itself is very different and unique in my collection. It’s sweet and somehow manages to be dark enough to manage that woodiness in it. It is fresh, sweet and dark. It’s actually a very complex fragrance.

This is marketed as a unisex fragrance but I personally don’t see it working as a men’s fragrance. It’s not like your typical alcohol-based fragrance because this is an oil. It has a softer sillage than any alcohol-based fragrance. But the longevity is not compromised as it’s still very, very long-lasting. I get around 8 to 10 hours of wear time.

I apply this behind my ears, around my neck and wrist and I have received so many compliments. This fragrance is more of an intimate fragrance. It is very classy and elegant. When I first tried it on, I wasn’t too impressed, because it was nothing special. But slowly, as it started to settle down, it started to change on me and I could not resist buying it.

This fragrance can be worn all year round and any time of the day. If you get a chance, just stop by and take a sniff. I guarantee you cannot pass this beautiful scent without picking it up.
