What is the Juice Diet?
As mentioned above, juice diet is also known as juice cleansing where a person solely gorges on vegetable or fruit juices. Juices are generally taken by a person so that it helps to remove the toxins from the body. It not only helps to flush out the toxins but also plays a major role in removing the excess fats from the body.
How does it work?
Whether you are following juice detox, juice fast or any other drinks, the basic concept of juice diet revolves around drinking fruit or vegetable juices. Juice diet is generally restricted to few days and should not be prolonged more than 6 days. Juice diets are generally vegetarian and can also be vegan which can help to speed up the process of metabolism in the body.
Are juice diets safe to be followed?
Various research and studies have proved that drinking juice is extremely safe for the body. As fruits, salads and vegetables are an important part of the diet, it is extremely safe for the body. One important thing to keep in mind while opting for juice weight loss is you should be drinking juices which contain no sugar. You should be drinking juice for five days as there are a high amount of fibres, proteins, and nutrients found in it. The diet should not be continued for more than a week.

You can also consume more of grilled veggies, nuts, grains, fish or chicken breast. You should cut down consumption of white rice and consume more of brown rice.

People who deal with diabetes or sugar management issues should avoid consuming juice diet, as fruits and veggies are rich in natural sugar. Apart from this, if you are pregnant, the juice diet should be strictly avoided. People with low blood pressure, having a history of eating disorders or have any kidney conditions should not opt for juice diet.
