How have you all been? I am back after a small break and this time I have a super gloss from Julep. It’s a cosmetic brand famous for their nail polishes and they have introduced a range of other makeup products as well. I got a chance to try a few of them during my last Nordstrom trip and got a couple of products from this brand. Here’s a lip gloss called “Graceful.”
Julep Lip Gloss is a formula that looks good, feels good and does good, offering a subtle hint of color and unstoppable shine. It’s formulated with a Power Cell Complex, the brand’s exclusive blend of age-defying, skin-boosting, ultra-hydrating ingredients that include rosehip seed oil, which delivers essential nutrients to soothe and repair, malvaceae lipid extract, which improves barrier function so that skin retains moisture and green coffee been oil, which invigorates skin and promotes cell turnover. Sheer pale pink. Unstoppable shine, luscious hydration.
Price and Quantity:
$20 @ Nordstorm.
The lip gloss comes in a regular rectangular plastic tube with a wand applicator that applies the gloss evenly on my lips.
My Experience with Julep Lip Gloss – Graceful:
I have a couple of lip glosses and love them to bits and quite coincidentally all of them are neutral colors that don’t look harsh for everyday use. I love wearing bold colors from MAC Retro Matte range, but some days, I just don’t feel like wearing the bold look and these lip colors come to my rescue.
I was looking for some new makeup when the Julep counter caught my attention and I was unaware till then that they also had stuff other than nail colors. The lady at the Julep counter was very friendly and nice, she explained the texture and application of the products and I finally got back home with a couple of products and this gloss was a part of that haul. This lip gloss is exactly my lip color, a tad bit lighter maybe, but the texture is non sticky and hydrating. There are a lot of shades, but quite a few of them were out of stock that day, so I finally got “Graceful,” which is a lovely muted pink that adds shine and plumpness to the lips.
I have used this on my lips for 5+ hours and it does get off if I tend to eat something, but never feels uncomfortable. The best part is that it doesn’t bleed as I have seen some of the lip glosses do, so it’s a winner for me. I would be looking out for more shades soon from this range.
Pros of Julep Lip Gloss – Graceful:
- Kind on the lips.
- Lot of shades to choose from.
- Decent wearing time for a gloss.
Cons of Julep Lip Gloss – Graceful:
- Price is a bit on the high side for a gloss.
Do I Recommend Julep Lip Gloss – Graceful?
Yes, I do recommend it for gloss lovers and those who want hydrating lip colors.
