I am back with another K-Palette review. The packaging says it’s a “1-Day Tattoo” liner. Is it really as good as a tattoo? Let’s find out.
Packaging: The liner comes in a regular black tube. Minimal packaging on the tube and slightly flashy packaging on the outside.
Formula: The formula on this one is surprisingly watery. As you can tell from the swatches, the line is patchy. I had a tube of this about 2 years ago and remember thinking the same thing. Other cheaper drugstore liners seem to be more opaque than this. So, the disadvantage is that you have to go over the line a few times to get it to be absolutely opaque. Even with layering the product so much, I noticed smudging within an hour and had to touch up. I had to do this 3 times within 5 hours. This comes off even easier if you are someone like me who keeps touching the eyes. So, even after it sets, it can move around.
Nib: The nib, as you can tell from the pictures, is very pointed, so you can get precise placement of colour. I turn it on to the side while coating the upper lash line.
Finish: The finish of this is definitely on the shiny side. You can set the liner with a black eyeshadow for a complete matte look and to lock the liner in place.
Staying Power: The lasting power is pretty good as you can tell by the name, but touching up will be necessary over the course of a day. I would say if I have primed my eyes, it truly lasts the entire day with zero touch-up required. Even if you are a beginner and your line is wonky, you can just go over the wonky area with a moistened cotton bud and remove and reapply easily. It is very forgiving and I really like that. If you have crazy oily eyelids like mine, then you will definitely benefit from applying an eyeshadow primer underneath.
Ease of removal: Ease of removal is probably the biggest strong point of this liner. It is film-type, which means it will come off with warm water but sets waterproof. That means even if you cry or get caught in the rain or go to the sauna, the liner won’t wear off.

- Definitely requires touch ups, especially if you touch your eyes often.
Would I Recommend K-Palette 1-Day Tattoo Real Lasting Eyeliner 24H in SB101?
Note that this review is for the waterproof version. There is a regular version which I haven’t tried yet. I wouldn’t recommend this particular eyeliner because the cons outweigh the pros.
