Once upon a time, I had a kabuki brush from Oriflame but it had gone so hard that the tips one could see had gone rounded, and hurt my face, hence I threw it, now I dont think I own any hardcore Kabuki brush but it is an essential tool, hence I thought why not take a look at our options to see what kabuki brushes we could try..
Wikipedia says “kabuki is a classical Japanese dance-drama. Kabuki theatre is known for the stylization of its drama and for the elaborate make-up worn by some of its performers.”
Also ” A kabuki brush (sometimes called mushroom brush) is a makeup brush with a short stem and dense bristles. The brush head is most often rounded, though it can be also flat. Traditionally, the bristles are made of natural materials like animal hair (e.g., goat or horse hair), but most brushes available now on the market have synthetic bristles.”

The cover opens up to reveal a duo fibre brush which is veryyyyy soft, it isn’t rough on the face and picks up right amount of product because it is nice and dense brush. It is great for applying bronzers, loose powder and mineral foundation. The great thing about this brush is that I have been using this brush every single day since I got it to apply loose powder and not a single fibre Is shed.
Arbee says “The bristles of this b rush are incredibly soft, softer than the TBS kabuki brush even. I love blending in the loose powder with this brush because of the lovely soft light texture of the bristles, it is like a feather touch really. They are very densely packed and pick up just the right amount of powder. It does a wonderful job of blending in the powder and reaching the tiny nooks and crevices of the face – in short, I love it!”

I had already been using it for weeks, when, upon writing a review, I realized that I couldn’t remember what the Ellana SA said the name of this brush was. It’s not yet on the Ellana website, so I emailed Ellana and sent a photo of the brush, and was informed that the name of it is the Tapered Kabuki Brush.

This is my favorite, hence it might not call itself kabuki, I still wanted to include it here Expensive, good quality, super soft, works well with all my face powder products like powder, blush, bronzer, highlighter, and I can carry it all the time. I wash it repeatedly and it won’t shed. This one is for keeps, so no harm in spending Rs. 875 if you don’t own any other brushes!
