  • It has improved the texture of my skin. My skin has become softer and cleaner since I started using it.
  • It doesn’t dry my skin even if I don’t apply anything on my face for hours.
  • It helps in removing dead skin cells leaving your skin clean and fresh.

  • A little goes a long way.
  • It comes in a steel jar that you may use it even after your product gets over.

What I don’t love about Kama Soap Free Cleanser?

  • It is expensive but after using it I find it completely worth it.
  • It is in a powdery form so sometimes it might get messy.
  • Since neem is one of the ingredient the product, you have to be careful that you keep your mouth tightly shut until you don’t towel dry your face. :P Now am used to of using it after experiencing a lot of bitter taste. πŸ˜€

Kama Soap Free Cleanser

I would be 200% repurchasing it. This is becoming my HG face cleanser.Β  I sometimes make the paste with water, rose water or milk.Β  If you have very dry skin, I suggest that you use it may be one in two days mainly for exfoliation purposes. My skin gets oily on the T zone in summers and I use it once every day. I am loving every bit of it. πŸ™‚

Have you used any Kama Ayurveda products?

  1. I love their products. Currently using a massage oil from Kama..The prices are quite hefty, considering that they are all nothing but simple ayurvedic products from Kerala.

Would love to try this cleanser though. But I have not seen it anywhere they sell kama products.

    1. This is my first product from Kama and I must say that I am impressed. You are right about the price. That was the only reason that was holding me back from trying it. How is the massage oil? You use it for any specific purpose?

      1. The massage oil is for general toning purposes Rati. Especially during winters/monsoons, the body tends to become stiff no? This helps in that and also good moisturisation.

This oil helped me tackle dry skin during this winter and also kept the skin smooth and supple. I also like the fragrance- a sweet fragrance somewhat like Anise seed oil πŸ™‚

        1. Dear Rati,

  5. the name sounds familiar, but i am yet to try any of their products! i love the way it worked on you…its a bit expensive, though πŸ™‚

its a powder form of cleanser, very thoughtful na…it looks just like neem leaf powder, my granny prepares something like this for me…every summer…neem leaves, rose petals and orange peels…smells refreshing and stays long….consequences, i dont have to tell u as all the ingredients works wonders on any given skin type πŸ™‚

if u say its worth every penny, may be its time to try…will make sure to grab it on my next visit to bangalore or chennai stores πŸ™‚

    1. We can never replace the daadi and naani ke nuskhe. But this looks like a close substitute. πŸ™‚ Yes I think it should work well for all skin types and best is you don’t have to bother about any chemicals. It’s all natural and works great.

  6. I got this product based on your review and I’m going to finish my second jar. I’m completely in love with this product… I have a huge pigmentation mark on right side of my forehead (must be around the coin size of Rs. 2) and I used to cover it with my hair πŸ˜€ … After using this for about a month and half, the mark is lightened and reduced in size.. Also this has made my skin softer

  7. I’ve also been using this for a few weeks now and not even half the jar is over as yet.. and i am simply loving it. My face feels so so so so clean!! i use it at night as a cleanser in the CTM routine.. and does it cleanse!! will def repurchase! btw the skin on my face is combination with a t-zone.. and it works perfectly! and yes Priya i second you on the softness part πŸ™‚

  8. I have used the kama cleanser, but it didnt really work for me.
Somehow it just didn’t click! I however, LOVE Forest Essentials facial ubtan, i use the narangi and nagkesar.
It works on the same principle as the kama cleanser.

  9. hello ladies,
iam sorry to post if this is just ladies site. since all here are indian women its better to take advice from you since i stay here in india . iam a male and in media related industry so taking care fo skin and face is must for me . i just wanted your guidance can men also use this product Kama Soap Free Cleanser ? what kind of results i can expect from it ? i have a strange skin . i travel abroad a lot so when iam there and in winter my skin becomes super dry its tight and it peels of on the forhead and nose specialy. so i picked up body shop hemp oil face protector now this works superb when iam in canada and usa but in bumbay it gives a oily feel . iam using noxzema face wash its a cream based wash which i picked from usa . somehow i wanted to use something natural on my face . so while doing my research i came across this blog . what kind of results a man can expect in general from this product . any help from you will be appreciated. thanx a lot

    1. Hi raj,

You can definitely use the Kama cleanser. It’s a little coarse because it’s mainly a grounded dal and herbs powder. You must give it a try. πŸ™‚

      1. thanx a lot for your reply . i tried in bombay store and 2 more stores but dint find that they said will come after some days and will call me . but i was excited so i went in a ayurvedic store and bought rose powder , orange skin powder, neem powder, tulsi podwer , camphor powder, papaya powder ,sandal wood powder and the guy suggested some 2 more which have some strange ayurvedic name which i forgot ( he said this will add glow to skin) and i have mixed it with besan powder and all this was just for 40rs . and will be using this as you gals are using it with milk . is this ok to use till i get the kama one ? and do i have to let it stay on my face or just mix with milk and rub on my face and then wash it ?
extremely sorry that iam asking too many questions and sounding silly . and thanx so much for your quick reply i appreciate that a lot . once again thanx
