How are you all doing today? I have to tell you, I play it very safe when it comes to lipsticks and glosses. I am a huge fan of the nude or beige look and only recently have I started to wander out into the world of beautiful reds, pinks and purples. And the makeup world out there absolutely did not disappoint! This review however is not one of those wonderful colours and I am a bit on the fence with this one. This is not so much a review but also a ‘May I have your honest opinion of what this looks like on me?’. Because I know I could ask a hundred friends, but my IMBB family would probably provide a better opinion. So let’s get started!

The Khroma makeup line has been founded by our three favourite-but-I-love-to-hate-you Kardashian sisters. They apparently use these products in their day to day lives too and have come up with an affordable line of makeup with all of their superpowers combined. These Joysticks are basically creamy lipsticks which come in twistable plastic packaging. The ends of these are also colour coded to the shade to make them easy to identify in your stash. The lid secures close well and this product is lightweight and easy to carry in your purse or during travel.

My experience with the Kardashian Beauty Sea Coral Joystick Lip Lacquer:

This may look like a fat chubby lip liner, but do not let it fool you as it is indeed a lipstick. This Khroma makeup line actually made the most sense for the Kardashian girls to create and these lip lacquers are so popular that I am very sure those girls are minting money out of this. From teenage girls to 30 somethings, anyone who loves the Kardashians has something from their new makeup line. Like I said, I love the idea of this product but it is the colour that I am still undecided about.

These joysticks are pretty ingenious as there is not much in the market available like this. They smell great too and they have a slight hint of vanilla which does come off quite nice when you apply these on your lips. During application as well these lip lacquers glide on your lips very smoothly, almost like butter! I really like the creamy formulation but I am not sure if it would be able to with stand the Indian heat. They are actually pretty soft and I worry that this product might get squishy if left in your purse while you’re out.

This particular colour kind of has a MAC creemsheen finish to it. The pigmentation of these is good and even though these are true to the colour and I knowingly picked this colour I can’t help but wonder, does this actually look good on me? This particular shade ‘Sea Coral’ is one of the most popular in its line being sold out so often that the sales girl actually congratulated me for finding one in the stash. This colour is a pinky-corally-with-hints-of-pale-melon-orange and I do not think that it suits my NC35-ish Indian skin tone. Dare I say it makes me look ashy? I can’t quite find the word to describe it and will leave the swatches to speak for themselves.

These have not dried my lips out at all and come out very even during application. They are not very long lasting however, lasting somewhere between how long a lip gloss and lipstick would last. These are quite moisturising and there is a great colour selection so maybe I will have to find them at a cheaper location and try out some other shades. They also remove very easily with makeup remover and this shade does not leave behind any stain on the lips.

Would I repurchase or recommend the Khroma Beauty Joystick Lip Lacquer in Sea Coral?
I probably would not repurchase this in this very colour but definitely in a more nude or brown shade, yes I would. I do however recommend this line because it is innovative and something different!
