Kat Von D Bachelorette Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Review

And I am back with another Kat Von D lipstick! 😛 After reviewing a few other shades like LUV, Bauhua5, Jeffree for you earlier. Picking up a bright shade in matte formulation, from a formula I love – a total no-brainer, right? But did this shade live up to the hype created by the previous ones I tried? Let’s find out:

Product Description:
A long-wear, full-coverage liquid lipstick with a smooth, matte finish.  Now with 16 additional, bold shades of Everlasting Liquid Lipstick for all-night wear, this innovative formula gives lips long-lasting wear and high-pigment color. Its creamy, color-rich formula glides over lips like a gloss but dries to a true matte finish. It’s infused with natural comfort-enhancing ingredients, including vitamin E and sunflower seed so you can flaunt lasting matte color that leaves lips feeling comfortable.  It is formulated without parabens.

Packaging:
A lip gloss kind of packaging – only sleeker and prettier! The packaging is long and slender with tattooed art – quite pretty to look at. The tube is transparent, so it’s easy to identify the colour. The bottle comes packaged in the standard KVD black outer box.  The applicator is a soft and bendy – refer to pics, makes for easy and precise application of these really intense super pigmented shades.

My Experience with Kat Von D Bachelorette Everlasting Liquid Lipstick:

Color: The shade “Bachelorette” described as a “dark reddish fuchsia” is just that – a dark, bright, reddish fuchsia. It’s definitely the kind of color which I love wearing. I feel colors like this instantly brighten up the face and you need very little else to make you look “pulled together.” The shade is bright but not neonish, so if you like bright shades, this one will be easy to rock. Also, I think, it will work across all skin tones.

Texture: The texture is lightweight and creamy liquid-y. It goes on smoothly and sets fairly quickly to a totally matte finish. There is a little play time in case you want to do lip contouring and add a lighter or darker shade into the mix. Despite being a total matte, it does not dry out the lips or make them feel prunish. There is no stretchy feeling. If you have really dry lips, we are still experiencing a bit of winter weather, I suggest you nourish your lips with a lip balm before you start applying makeup and when it’s time for the lipstick, pat off the lip balm and then apply the lipstick.

Pigmentation: Pigmentation is excellent on this one, one swipe has full colour deposit – its opaque and covers all lip pigmentation.

Lasting Power:  The product lasts about 7-8 hours through light snacks. As is common with the long-wearing formulas – oil will break down the product – be it cleansing oil at the end of the day or the oil in your food. You can easily do a touch up, it will not look patchy. You do not need to remove the entire lipstick and reapply.

• Does not go patchy with wear time..
• Does not make your lips look prunish.

Cons of Kat Von D Bachelorette Everlasting Liquid Lipstick:

• Not available in India. It is now available in UAE (apart from US of course) and launching soon in East Asia – Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and in UK by October.
• A tad bit drying post 5-6 hours of application, but nothing like the MAC Retro Matte lipsticks.

IMBB Rating:
A 5/5 product.
The formula is fairly comfortable – for a matte lipstick. I think it’s one of the better liquid lipstick formulas – if not the best. It does not make your lips look prunish, does not flake, does not go patchy. I think it’s an absolute winner. You have to try it and you will fall in love!
Would I Repurchase Kat Von D Bachelorette Everlasting Liquid Lipstick?
The color is gorgeous. Is it a must have? Don’t know. If you love bright lips, go for it. If you prefer more neutral shades, the line has some brilliant neutral colours like Double Dare, Lolita and Lolita II.
