My Experience with Kat Von D Ink Liner Dali:
The eyeliner comes in a sleek pen form, which comes housed in a sleek cardboard box. The entire product-related information is written on the box. The eyeliner pen is color coded and it has detailing on it in silver fonts. It has a black-colored cap with the brand’s tagline printed on it in silver font. The cap shuts securely making it travel friendly. The applicator is very thin and pointed. The tip is quite soft and does not scratch the eyelids. The applicator is firm and comfortable to work with. One can easily draw both thin and thick lines using this pen eyeliner. Overall, I don’t have any complaints about the packaging.
“Dali” is a soft teal shade. It is a subtle color and does not look too stark and over the top. This makes it more wearable for everyday use. It looks lovely on the eyelids. I prefer using a colored eyeliner whenver I am not in the mood of doing full eye makeup. These colored eyeliners keep my makeup game pretty sorted and I love using them on a regular basis. Pigmentation wise, the eyeliner is quite okay. It is not like insanely pigmented or something and feels a little watery. So, I have to layer it on to get rich colour and at the same time too much layering makes it look streaky kind of. So, overall the color is just buildable.
It glides smoothly on the eyes without any tugging or pulling of the eyelids. The tip is not pokey and does not irritate the sensitive eye area. The application goes on very smoothly. The finish it gives is super matte and neat. There is no sheen or shimmer in the liner and it looks perfectly matte. It hardly takes a few seconds for this eyeliner to dry out completely. So, this is the ease of use of these sketch eyeliners. You do not have to wait for your eyeliner to dry completely else you will end up spoiling your makeup. And as it is sketch eyeliner, it does not cause any cracking or peeling issues. The eyeliner does no crease at all. It is smudgeproof up to some extent but it does fade away slightly from the inner corner of my eyes. The formula is not waterproof and comes off easily with water.
The eyeliner stays for around 5-6 hours on my oily eyelids with a little fading from the corners of the eyes. It is quite easy to remove. Just a regular wet wipe is good enough to remove the eyeliner neatly.
Overall, I have love-hate kind of relationship with this liner. I love the color and finish but the pigmentation part is quite disappointing. I feel that Kat Von D Tattoo Liners have a better formulation and the shade “Trooper” is my favorite eyeliner from its tattoo liners range.
