Kat Von D Jeffree Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Review

Today’s review is on another Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid lipstick. I am not sure why but I seem to be sitting on my procrastinating horse for some reason. This review was supposed to be out last week (if not last fortnight), but for some reason, my days seem to be going by in the blink of an eye. Anyway, better late than never 😛

Product Description:
A long-wear, full-coverage liquid lipstick with a smooth, matte finish.

What it does: Now with 16 additional, bold shades of Everlasting Liquid Lipstick for all-night wear, this innovative formula gives lips long-lasting wear and high-pigment color. Its creamy, color-rich formula glides over lips like a gloss but dries to a true matte finish. It’s infused with natural comfort-enhancing ingredients, including vitamin E and sunflower seed, so you can flaunt lasting matte color that leaves lips feeling comfortable.  It is formulated without parabens.

Ingredients:

Packaging:  You can see the pics for the packaging. The liquid lipstick comes in a lip gloss kind of packaging with KVD logo prominently displayed. The packaging is long and slender with tattooed art – quite pretty to look at. The tube is transparent, so it’s easy to identify the colour. The bottle comes packaged in the standard KVD black outer box.

The applicator is soft and bendy, refer to the pics. Makes for easy and precise application of these really intense super pigmented shades.

My Experience with Kat Von D Jeffree Everlasting Liquid Lipstick:

Color: The shade “Jeffree” is a tricky one.  It is described as a “hot pink” shade, but it’s not a traditional hot pink shade. For one, it seems to run a little warm. Two, it feels to be a little pastel and neon-ish.  It’s not a color which is easy to pull off. It’s not bold, but it’s fairly bright. This shade was not on my list. This was part of KVD’s Monarch set, which included the Monarch palette and a couple of other full-sized products which together, gave a good taste of the KVD line.

Texture:  The texture is consistent, it is lightweight and creamy. It takes very little time to set into a totally matte finish. Among the shades that I have tried from KVD, this one seemed a tad drying, but it still doesn’t make your lips feel parched or prune like. If you check the pics, you see, that from a distance, it’s absolute perfection, but from real up close (the lip swatch) – you can see the lip lines.

Pigmentation:  Pigmentation is good; however, a single layer can look a little patchy. You do need two layers to provide full coverage and even things out a bit.

Lasting Power:  The product lasted about 7-8 hours through light snacks. As is common with the long-wearing formulas – the product breaks down oil, be it cleansing oil at the end of the day or the oil in your food. You can easily do a touch up. You do not need to remove the entire lipstick and reapply. A quick touch-up works well and does not look bad.

• Easy to identify the colour from the tube itself.

• Transfer proof!

Cons of Kat Von D Jeffree Everlasting Liquid Lipstick:

• Not available in India. It is now available in UAE (apart from US of course).
• A tad bit drying post 4-5 hours of application.

IMBB Rating: 4/5 product.

I have said this before – when I had reviewed the shade “LUV” from this line, I had fallen in love with this formula. It’s fantastic, a must try! And there really is a vast variety of shades to pick from, so you are sure to find your fix. I have “Double Dare” on my lips right now because Neha (who reviewed Double Dare on IMBB) INSISTED that I pick this colour and I am so happy that she did because it’s pure, pure love for me!

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Kat Von D Jeffree Everlasting Liquid Lipstick
This shade? No, not necessarily. If I finish it or lose it (God Forbid!!), I won’t rush out to buy a replacement, but I have thoroughly enjoyed using this one and will try to pick more shades from this line.
