This review will be on yet another Kat Von D product that I had picked up in my last haul. Lately, I have been experimenting and trying to incorporate pop of colors in unexpected places in my makeup, like eye liners, colored mascara etc., which is where this product comes into play. This review will be on the Kat Von D Ink liner in the shade “Nerdrum.”
An ultra-rich and waterproof, felt-tipped liquid pen eyeliner for up to 24 hours of instant drama and effortless, bold definition.
What it does:
Flaunt a killer line every time with Ink Liner. The innovative, no-fray marker tip holds the maximum level of formula, giving you bold lines with instant color lay-down and stunning intensity. Remarkably easy to use, the felt tip applicator provides total control for effortless eye lining. Rock your look around the clock with this waterproof formula that delivers a fade and run-resistant finish for up to 24 hours of wear. For effortless drama, put it in ink.
My Experience with Kat Von D Nerdrum Ink Liner:
Packaging: This product comes in an easy-to-use pen style applicator with a cap which attaches securely and prevents the liner from drying up. This applicator is thin and precise and helps to create whichever style eyeliner you want – bold, thick, pencil thin or even create designs if you are that creative – with ease. If you know how to use a pen, you can use this eyeliner.
Consistency/Pigmentation: This eyeliner glides on effortlessly on the skin with no tug or skip. It deposits 80% opaque bold color in one swipe. With two layers, it will give you fully opaque color which is quite a good quality, especially if you want that bright color to pop.
Shade: The shade “Nerdrum” is a beautiful bright sky blue color. I also own and have reviewed the shade “Baudelaire” from this line, which was a deep navy blue. This eyeliner does not contain any shimmer particles. It is also not completely matte in appearance. It has a very subtle sheen.
Staying Power: This eyeliner claims to be waterproof and long wearing. I did not find it to fade or crease during the whole time I wore this, which is about 7-8 hours. Even during these hot summer days when my eye area does get incredibly oily, I found that this eyeliner stays put. I would say that this product is water resistant and not completely waterproof. I did notice that upon contact with water, it does tend to transfer but not smear.
Overall, here’s yet another hit from the Kat Von D makeup line and this is a product that I will most definitely recommend. The Ink liners come in 10 different colors, so if you are in the mood to experiment with color on your eyes, this product is a must have for you.
I love using this eyeliner to create a pop of color on my eyes. In the EOTD. I have used it just to create a bright blue wing. I feel this color really complements brown eyes.
P.S. Excuse my clumpy eyelashes. I am trying out a new mascara and it hasn’t been cooperating with me.
