Hope you are all doing great. Recently, Kat Von De released a new line of Studded Kiss Crème Lipsticks with a huge array of mesmerizing shades. Being a fan of the brand, I picked up the shade “Mercy” from the line using the IMBB sponsorship scheme. Read on to find out how this lipstick worked for me.

My Experience with Kat Von De Studded Kiss Creme Lipstick Mercy:

Packaging: This lipstick comes packaged in a beautiful studded black case, which indeed looks fierce and luxe. There is also an outer black paper box with the product details and ingredient list. The shade name is present at the bottom of the tube with a color-coded sticker, which makes it easier to identify the color. Overall, I love this packaging as it is bold and different.

Shade: One of the biggest appeals to this range is the shades. There is a massive 40 shades to be exact. There is a whole rainbow of colors which is just amazing. Studded kiss lipsticks come in two finishes- satin matte and metallics. The shade “Mercy” is a magnificent warm metallic reddish berry shade. It is a beautiful metallic shade that will suit everyone. The metallic finish is noticeable without being too intense, thereby making it all the more wearable.

Formula: The formula of these lipsticks are revamped unlike the original studded lipsticks, these lippies are designed to be all the more comfortable and non-drying. This lipstick has an amazing formula and the consistency tends to be creamy and nice. It gives good color pay off and has amazing pigmentation. The metallics in this lipstick seem to be lovely and subtle and doesn’t feel gritty at all. The finish of this lipstick is more on a semi-metallic matte finish. They apply well and go on smooth on the lips without tugging. They don’t seem to accentuate the dry patches, but doesn’t mean that it will go on smooth on chapped lips. Lip exfoliation is a must prior to lipstick application. They do feel comfortable on the lips.

Staying Power: It has a strong vanilla scent which fades after the application. I didn’t notice any feathering with these lipsticks. This lipstick feels very lightweight on the lips. The staying power is also decent and stays for a good five hours, it fades with eating and leaves a beautiful stain on the lips.
