Kaya Everyday Cleansing Wipes Review

By Divya Menon

Skin type: sensitive and oily

Hello beauties,

I apply minimal makeup and hence I use my holy grail, olive oil, to remove makeup. But these days, the markets are flooded with makeup removal products. These are not only easy to use, but also save time and get the makeup off in a jiffy. Recently, I picked up these newly launched makeup wipes from Kaya. Now let’s get into the review.

Price: 125 for 30 wipes
Benefits:
• Cleansing
• Makeup removal
• Gentle on skin
• Differentiator
• With Aloe Vera that nourishes skin
• For normal skin
Directions:
Peel the seal slowly and pull out a wipe and reseal the pouch. Thoroughly wipe face and neck. Discard wipe after a single use.

My Experience with Kaya Everyday Cleansing Wipes:

These wipes come in an individual pack with a peel off sticker. You need to peel the sticker, pull the wipe and reseal the pouch. I personally prefer a lid above the peel off, since the sticker tends to lose its glue with frequent use and the wipes end up getting dry. I quite like these wipes. Just one swipe and all your makeup is gone.

I have used it on days when I don’t wear makeup, just as a cleanser and it has worked well there, too. In the case of stubborn matte lip shades, I couldn’t take mine off completely despite several swipes (especially Sugar lipsticks). It even removed my waterproof eyeliner in a single swipe without stinging my eyes. Since I apply minimal makeup (foundation, compact, eyeliner and lip shade), these wipes work well for me.

This product has the goodness of aloe, glycerin, castor oil and chamomile, which are all moisturising and good for the skin. Post cleansing, the face feels fresh and smooth. These wipes have a very mild fragrance. There is a fair amount of alcohol, but it doesn’t dry out the skin. Each wipe is made of nonwoven spunlace fabric and can be reused. But who would reuse a makeup removal wipe?

Pros of Kaya Everyday Cleansing Wipes:

• Cleans almost full makeup effectively.
• Can be used as a cleanser and makeup remover.
• Cleans with a single swipe but darker lip shades might require extra swipes.
• Has aloe and camomile.
• Convenient, travel-friendly packaging.
• Doesn’t dry out the skin.
• Mildly fragranced.

Cons of Kaya Everyday Cleansing Wipes:

• The presence of alcohol.
• Peel off sticker tends to loose its glue easily.
• Not effective in removing matte lip creams.

IMBB Rating: 4.5/5 (.5 for the alcohol content and packaging)
Would I Repurchase Kaya Everyday Cleansing Wipes?
Not really. It is a good product, no doubt, but I would rather stick to natural products for cleansing and makeup removal.
