Kaya Puresense Macadamia Deep Nourishing Hair Cleanser Review

Hair type: dry and frizzy

Hello beauties,

I have always been a sucker for hair products that help quench the thirst of my dry hair. I have been using Kaya skin care products for a long time now and hadn’t really tried their hair products. This was suggested by my specialist on one of my clinic visits. Now a little on their new product range. They have two types of hair care products. One is the ‘Revitalising’ range with grapefruit (for oily to normal hair) and the other is the ‘Deep Nourishing’ range (for dry hair) with macadamia nut. I got the one for the dry hair. Let’s get started with the review.

Packaging:
I am in awe of their packaging. This cleanser comes in a beautiful opaque glass bottle with a wooden pump dispenser. It’s a clean and simple yet stylish packaging. My bathroom now has a spa kind of feeling with this beautiful bottle on display. The bottle has the description of the product at the front and back. The bottle has a protective clip-on, which you can place on the pump when you are travelling. This prevents product spillage. Since this is made of glass, it isn’t travel-friendly. Even if you carry it around, ladies with butter fingers, BEWARE.

My Experience with Kaya Puresense Macadamia Deep Nourishing Hair Cleanser:

Now I was wondering what’s the difference between a hair shampoo and a cleanser? The specialist specifically told me that this is a cleanser and not a shampoo. The main difference is that a cleanser is way gentle and has chemical free ingredients as compared to a shampoo. Now let’s get into the product review. This is a white semi-thick liquid and the consistency is just about perfect – neither too thick nor runny.

Kaya Puresense Macadamia Deep Nourishing Hair Cleanser Back

This product is excellent for dry and damaged hair and has macadamia nut as the main ingredient, which rejuvenates, moisturise and strengthens rough and dry hair. It not only promotes hair growth but also helps in rejuvenating the hair. It also has fatty acids that help to add shine, strengthen, and nourish the hair follicles. This, in turn, fight off hair loss and brittle strands. The cleanser doesn’t lather much, but it’s fine on days when you just want to cleanse your hair.

But on days when I have applied oil, it takes a little more product than usual to cleanse. So, if you are an oil pot on the hair oiling days, you may not like this one. It really cleanses well and leaves my hair detangled and frizz-free. Hair looks voluminous, hydrated and moisturized once it dries after cleansing with this one. Hair feels exactly as per the product claims – smooth, shiny and silky. The effect stays for a good 3-4 days. I could feel the difference in just one wash. There are days when I do not use the conditioner and the effects are still pretty good.

Kaya Puresense Macadamia Deep Nourishing Hair Cleanser Swatch

Now, coming to the smell of the product. It has such a beautiful and nutty aroma and the best part is that it stays for a good three to four days. You step out of the shower and you would feel like you’ve stepped out of a spa – hair full of goodness. It has not only helped tame my dry hair but has also reduced my hair fall. The gentle formula has helped nourish right from the roots till the ends. Macadamia prevents hair breakage by penetrating deeply into the scalp to improve hair strength and elasticity. And as they claim, this cleanser has reduced hair breakage.
