Kaya Revive and Firm – Serum
Hello pretties….
Am back with a review but for a change this is a skincare product and not lipstick or eye makeup stuff. I have realized the importance of serum being on the wrong side of twenties and made it a part of my daily skin care. I have been using this serum religiously for the past few weeks and here is my opinion about the same.
Price: Rs 800/- for 50ml
Product description:
Kaya’s revive and firm has an intensive action formula that promotes the formation of collage. Advanced anti-oxidants like curcumin extracts and vitamin E protect the skin against free radicals – one of the major reasons of skin aging. Regular use results in reduction in wrinkles and improvement of facial firmness.
Directions of use:
Dispense 1-2 pumps, apply to thoroughly cleansed face and neck, twice daily. Massage gently in upward direction.
Packaging:
The serum comes in typical Kaya packaging; white plastic bottle with metal base and neck. The pump is white plastic as well with a transparent cap, ensuring the bottle is travel friendly. The pump is good in dispensing the product and does not spill out much product. So the quantity of the product can be controlled.
Texture:
The serums that I have used are mostly gel like and transparent. This one is an exception. It looks and feels more like a milky fluid. The texture is very light unlike other serums. Considering the lightness of the texture it gets well absorbed and there is no residue. It is no greasy and leaves no layer on the skin.
Owing to my super sensitive nose I have a problem with the smell of this. It has a pretty strong smell of emollients. It does not feel heavy on the skin at all but the smell feels like you have put on a thick layer of cold cream on your face. For people who prefer no fragrance skincare, this can be a huge turn off.
I do have fine lines around my mouth and on the forehead and with regular usage I have not seen much difference in their appearance. On the other hand my skin is brighter and healthier than before. As I have not made any other change in my routine except for the serum, I think it is the reason behind the brightened skin.
As my fine lines and wrinkle are not the reasons I picked this up, so I do not find much fault in this except for the smell. But if someone is actually looking for an anti aging, firming, anti-wrinkle treatment, you have to give this a pass.
