Kaya Skin Clinic Anti Dandruff Lotion Review

Kaya Skin Clinic Anti Dandruff Lotion

Hello beauties,

Today I will be reviewing a product I have been using since past few weeks. But before that, let me tell you ladies a bit about my hair type. I have normal to dry hair but with an oily scalp. I have long hair that has been rebonded few times now, although I am growing back my natural curly locks back. I don’t have severe dandruff problem normally but off late I have seen there is build up on my scalp and it’s the stubborn oily dandruff. Eek I so hate it! I tried home remedies like lemon and fenugreek seed mask etc. But the condition didn’t improve much. I was worried but before visiting a dermatologist I thought of trying the next level that is using a anti dandruff product. Somehow I didn’t want to use those anti dandruff shampoos available in market because I feel they will be harsh for my hair. Hence on my regular visit to Kaya Skin clinic I bought this product. It’s called the Kaya Anti Dandruff lotion. Let’s see how it fared with me.

My experience with Kaya Skin Clinic Anti Dandruff Lotion:

The lotion comes in the typical Kaya packaging, white bottle with flip cap. Packaging wise its very average, nothing exciting about it. The bottle is spill proof hence its travel friendly I would say. The lotion is a bit on the runny side and transparent white in colour, with a mild flowery smell (thanks God it’s not medicated smell). Though watery in constancy its suitable for message, small quantity is enough for the entire scalp. The instruction says we have to keep the lotion for 6 hours or overnight before we wash it off. For the first time I applied it 3 hours before my shower to see if it’s too strong and harsh for my hair.

I found it’s not very harsh on hair and indeed made my scalp feel clean and fresh. So next time I used it on my scalp before bed and washed it off in the morning. Although the SA in Kaya told me to buy their shampoo I didn’t. I asked if it’s an anti dandruff shampoo and is in combination with the lotion to which she said it’s not. Hence I went ahead and used my regular shampoo and conditioner. The results are good.

I won’t say it eliminated my dandruff totally but the build up is not there and my scalp feels lighter and cleaner. But one good thing is that although it makes the scalp really clean it does make it feel moisturised too (Not OILY!!). I liked that, in the past I have tried few clarifying shampoos which simply made my scalp over dry and flaky, it’s not that way. It claims to be effective for itchy scalp I won’t be able to comment on that as I never had itchy scalp to treat. Altogether it’s a OK product which isn’t very harsh to hair and scalp, doesn’t smell of strong chemicals, helps clean the scalp and reduce build up when used regularly. One good thing one good thing is that after using this product there was no frizziness. I will discontinue this once I finish the bottle and see how the effect is.
