Skin Type: Normal to dry
I have started using skin care products with SPF even when I stay indoors and the results are clearly visible on my skin. Here is the moisturizing sunscreen that I’ve been using for a while – Kaya Sun Defense Daily Moisturising Sunscreen SPF 30. Read on to know whether I love it or not.
Broad spectrum protection protects the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays. Helps to maintain essential hydration and nourishment all day long. Regular use gives you visible results* in just 7 days. 5 Star Boots rating. Formula researched and developed by dermatologists.
My Experience with Kaya Sun Defense Daily Moisturising Sunscreen SPF 30:
The sunscreen comes in a white and yellow packaging. This packaging the standard Kaya packaging. It has a lot of product-related information too. This is quite convenient and functional. Even the cap is tight enough and dispenses the right amount of product.
This moisturizing sunscreen has a creamy consistency, but it is lightweight and gets absorbed easily. It spreads easily on the skin and does not leave any white cast. I love using it since it is not thick and does not make my skin greasy. I have not used it in summers so far but I feel it will work well for my normal-dry skin in summers too.
This moisturizing sunscreen has a fresh fragrance (cucumber like) but it kind of annoys me. It does not last long, so I don’t mind. This one is priced at INR 870 and I feel it is slightly expensive, especially if you use it on your body as well. I use it only on my face and neck and use another Lotus Herbals sunscreen on my body, so the price is not an issue for me.
Upon application, it gets absorbed with a little massage and then you can barely trace it on your skin. It keeps my skin moisturised and hydrated all day long. It’s winters and my skin doesn’t feel dry or stretchy even after hours of application. Since it works as a moisturiser too, it adds brightness to my skin and works well under makeup too.
My skin tends to get very easily tanned and this one cannot prevent tanning. I recently got tanned after spending just 3 hours in the sun. Honestly, I have tried a lot of sunscreens and only Lotus Herbals Daily Multi-Functional Sun Block SPF 70 has prevented my skin from getting tanned so far. Other products just do not work for me.
Overall, I would say this is a nice sunscreen. You can use it under makeup or just on its own to nourish your skin and protect it at the same time. It is best suited for normal to dry skin and even combination skin in winters. I would not recommend it for oily or combination skin in summers.
