Kaya Sunscreen for Sensitive Skin Review

KAYA SKIN CLINIC SENSITIVE SKIN SUNSCREEN SPF 15 REVIEW

HELLO IMBB-ITES!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I am going to review the kaya sunscreen for sensitive skin. I picked this up from the kaya clinic when I had gone for my underarms laser treatment. I just happened to inquire about it & the skin practitioner out there was very insisting on me trying this out. I was in double mind because of the price. But, finally I picked this up.

FIRST LOOK:

This sunscreen comes in a very sophisticated white + transparent + silver bottle with a pump & a transparent cap. The cap is not very tight & often comes off when I would carry this in my bag. I have already lost the cap. But the sunscreen never spilled.

PRICE FACTOR:
This sunscreen is a bit pricier comparatively at Rs. 750 for 50 ml. :shout:

AVAILABILITY:
This is available at all Kaya Skin Clinic outlets. But I have also seen this at Beauty Centre.

TEXTURE & FRAGRANCE:
The sunscreen is white in color & has a thick consistency. It is devoid of any fragrance, but if smelled hard….the fragrance is similar to that of cetaphil moisturising lotion.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS SUNSCREEN:
I had bought this in summers. The day I started using this, my face looked like an oil pan. So I discontinued it. I tried using this in rainy also but with the same effect. My skin felt so sticky that I had to wash my face within two hours itself. I also tried dabbing johnson’s baby powder after using this sunscreen but the effect was only temporary. This time my face look longer to get oily….but eventually it did after 3 hours. I have kept this aside for cooler months now…because I don’t have the heart to waste this one as sunscreen for hands & feet…because of the price. This didn’t break me out though. That is the only positive thing about this sunscreen. I think people with extra dry skin can go in for this. But with an spf of only 15…this will be inadequate in the winter & summer months….probably can use it when one is indoors.
PROS:ย
1. Its fragrance free; so good for dry sensitive skin.
2. Is non-comedogenic.
3. Packaging is sophisticated.

CONS:ย
1. Not suitable for oily sensitive skin. Makes skin very oily.
2. The cap is not fitted tightly. (I have already lost mine).
3. SPF is very low for Indian weather.
4. Little bit pricey.
5. Available only at Kaya Skin Clinic & Beauty Centre.
6. No small size available.

MY RATING FOR THIS:ย
2/5 (Plus two only because it didn’t break me out).

WILL I EVER BUY THIS AGAIN???
NAAAAAAAAAAAAAA………… :nonono: :nono: :nababana:

    1. hey pooja….don’y even get close to trying anything from kaya…they are just not made for oily skin…. :yuck: even the cleansers….i have tried them….

  1. I had/have this issue most sunscreens turning me into an oil slick until I found Lotus’s matte 3 in 1 sunscreen. Wont be switching sunscreen ever again!!! :nono:

  2. Rs 750 for 50 ml??? Baap re!! Well it is available at spencers too! I was tempted to go for skin analysis there, but then thought those people would then force me to buy several of their products, so didnt go! Well it feels bad, when you spend so much and it comes out like this! :pan: :nonono: ๐Ÿ™

  3. My roommate had taken an entire 23k ka package with kaya and she later told me it was a big waste :((
I guess it only suits specific ppl

    1. Bee…i have got a friend who works in kaya….she herself suggested it is waste of money…..so tell ur room mate to be careful nxt time she invests so much…..to better do sme research n then go in 4 such packages…. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Good things are that it didn’t break you out and that it is hypoallergenic. But the oily feeling??? And the price?! :duel: :duel: :duel: :pan: :nonono:

  5. Thanks Dimpi for the review….I will be visiting Kaya soon and thanks for the warning…..I won’t touch anything that costs Rs. 750 and makes me look like an oil tank :stars: :stars:

    1. you re welcome jomol…n if you re visiting kaya….then dnt go in for the packages…i have taken one for my underarms…..laser….n to get an appointment that too on weekends is like fighting a war…. :duel: :duel: :duel: ….n the service was good initially but later it was…. :yikes: :yuck:

  6. i have used only one thing from kaya ever – makeup remover. i really liked it bt it used to sting my eyes. so had to be careful with it bt it was nice.. this toh :spank: :spank: :spank: :spank: :spank: :spank:

  7. During my internship period i once visited kaya..the doc over there prepared a 30k bill for me..that was too much..i never revisited and they kept on calling for months ๐Ÿ˜

  8. Dimpi, had a similar experience with these products as well when they had come out 3-4 years back. the sa sold me stuff worth 3 grand. a facewash and lotion. terrible stuff!! and that time this lotion was 990 bucks :spank:

    1. I had a similar experince with the package even shivani….laser one for underarms….the service was good initially but later it was all downhill…. :pan:

  9. Not worth 750 Rs when there are so many better sunscreens in the market for much lesser price! Its good though tht it wud suit very sensitive skin too.

    1. yes ankita…even i didnt find it worth dat much when there are so many better sunscreens even for sensitive skin available in the market…. :X

  10. You know..funnily enough..the reason I didn’t like it is because it broke me out…the one I have..the packaging looks the same, though now I am not sure if it was for the one meant for sensitive skin.. ?:) ?:) ?:) Am too lazy to check anyway ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜›

    1. radhika….this didnt break me out…but one could actually fry things using the oil on my face…. ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

  11. True….. I had tried this and its waste of money. I have normal skin the to it makes my skin oily and broke me out. I had purchase 2000 bucks products (sunscreen, moisturiser and facewash). TOtal waste…….

  12. ohh Kaya..
    what do i say..
I have quite an experience with It.
3.5 years back my roommate had got super results. her skin had become flawless and i knew how it was!!

Couldn’t control myself from trying out the services for pimple free skin.I had opted for 4 salicylic peels+2 glycolic peels+2 derma-abrasion sessions.
Paid over 12k and loved the results. There was a marked improvement every body noticed and i loved the compliments. I was getting married so didnt mind spending that much. my skin had really cleaned up and I have had bad days.

I have agian started getting pimples here and there after pregnancy and opted for 4 sessions of pimple free. I was expecting sometime like last time.
I must admit i am little disappointed this time around. The pimples have reduced but the glow which was there during my last sessions….yet to see it.

Maybe I am getting old and My skin has kind of become immune to the treatments. Sob..Sob..1 paid 10K for 4 sessions and since i made my husband pay for them its a bit let down as he said , he hasn’t noticed any marked difference.

About the products I have used quite a few of them. The sunscreen is good but the quantity is soo less, it hardly lasts a month after paying about 700 INR. The facewash for 450/- lasts me about 3 month and thats the only one m using at present.

All in all mixed feelings for Kaya products and services.

  13. I am surprised to see the negative comemnts about Kaya..Yes I agree theya re excessively priced but some of their products are awesome..atleast they worked well for me
I love their facewash, toner, sunscreena nd any day cream
I hate their super expensive facepack, vit C serum, comedone and shampoo
However the sunscreen reviewed here is my all time fav.I have sensitive skin and it has worked for me so well.Whats best is that I went on my expedition to Khardungla and I was at 18,000 ft and I used just this sunscreen 15 spf and I was far less tanned than people using Lotus 50/70 one ๐Ÿ™‚
