I have reviewed multiple contour and highlighting products in the last few days and I will wrap it up with this contour brush. I have realized how much important it is to have the right brush along with a good product to get the perfect finish. So when I bought the NYX Contour Duo palette, I also bought a contour brush from Kent. Know more about the product in this review.
My Experience with Kent Twelve TWMU9 Contour Powder Brush:
The brush comes in a zip-lock plastic pouch. The details about the product i.e. description, usage, tips are written in the back. It is very convenient to carry it while travelling. The bristles are made of goat hair. The handle is made of good quality plastic. The black and white contrast gives the brush a sober, sophisticated look. The size of the brush is perfect and it is neither too light and nor too heavy. It can be used conveniently and quickly.
This brush is perfect for contouring in every way. It is an angled brush that fits perfectly along the contour line. The breadth is also perfect and it helps to apply the product in one go, without spreading it outside the contour line. The natural fibre feels so smooth and soft. You will love how delicate it is against the skin. It picks up the right amount of product in one go and you do not need to sweep the product again and again. I have also used it to apply bronzer and the application is flawless.
I generally dab the brush into the desired shade, dust out the excess product and sweep below cheekbones. Apart from the cheekbone, I have also used it to contour the forehead, jaw line and nose. I use the pointed side of the brush to add dark colour to the hollow of the cheek after the light contouring. This gives some additional depth to the face and a somewhat “Kim Kardashian like effect” (I love to think about this again and again!)
In the website it is mentioned that the brush is ideal for powder product application. I have never used it to apply liquid product as I feel liquid contour products are messy to use and not suitable for my oily skin. The brush is pretty easy to wash. I use a mild shampoo to wash the brush and then air-dry it. It never sheds the bristles during application or washing. Overall, I am super impressed with the product.
