Keraglo-AD Anti-Dandruff Shampoo Review

By Ahana Chatterjee

A warm hug to IMBBans!

I felt ecstatic after my first post on IMBB and I am back today reviewing a medicated shampoo which my dermatologist advised me. I had some rashes on my forehead and it was mainly due to dandruff (monsoons, huh!) So, she prescribed me this gentle shampoo to get rid of the flakes and to keep rashes at bay. Let’s see how Keraglo-AD Anti-Dandruff Shampoo fared for me.

Product Claims:
Keraglo AD shampoo effectively removes dandruff while nourishing hair and scalp.

Directions:
Apply to wet hair, massage into scalp, leave on hair for 5 mins and rinse thoroughly with water. For best results, repeat the process.

Price:
INR 230 for 75 ml

My Experience with Keraglo-AD Anti-Dandruff Shampoo:

It has a medium consistency, neither runny nor too thick. But, being a gentle cleanser, it didn’t lather much on my thick hair. So, larger quantity of the product is needed. The smell is very typical of medicated shampoos and might not be liked by all. It cleanses my scalp and hair well. My scalp feels a tingling sensation on using this, but it is not bothersome. It reduced my dandruff and itchiness problem completely. The rashes on my forehead disappeared too. The oiliness of my scalp got reduced and my scalp felt refreshed for 2-3 days after shampooing. I have used it for 3 months and I can say that it’s effective in doing its job.

However, like all anti dandruff shampoos, it dries out hair. The dryness is not too severe and can easily be avoided by using a good conditioner. I haven’t faced any extra hair loss due to this and this is a reassuring thing. I generally shampoo my hair 2 or 3 days a week, because of the high humidity and pollution in Kolkata. Once a week, I use this Keraglo AD shampoo and other days I use Patanjali Milk Protein Shampoo. Since, this shampoo is loaded with chemicals, I alternate between herbal and this shampoo. And, I am happy with my hair.

The major drawback of this product is the price. It is quite pricey for the quantity. But, I think people with dandruff who have used Head & Shoulders and have failed should try this. After the problem subsides, they can switch to Head & Shoulders or any regular anti dandruff treatment for routine maintenance.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Keraglo-AD Anti-Dandruff Shampoo?
I may not repurchase it now as my dandruff is under control. However, I would recommend this to people with oily scalp to cure dandruff.

  1. Hey, i was too recommended by my dermatologist to use this shampoo because of acne in my forehead area. It worked well for me too. But my doctor told me to use this as a pre-lotion just before shampoo. Then wash this out and follow with a conditioning shampoo. This method is great as my hair doesnt dry out. ?
