Kerastase Oleo-Relax Serum Review

Kerastase Oleo-Relax Serum

I came across this product when I visited my newlywed cousin sister last year and like all younger siblings I consider it not only my right but also an imperative duty to try on the expensive products of our elder siblings. During the time of her wedding, she got her hair rebounded at a salon , Khan market and they recommended her this serum along with the shampoo and conditioner from the same company. I stayed up at my cousins place for almost 3 weeks and during this time I used this product several times. I have very dense curly hairs with a lot of frizz and this product acted as a great boon for them.

My experience with Kerastase Oleo-Relax Serum:

This product started with the perfect description of my hair and during the time I used it in those 3 weeks I totally fell in love with this product. It is a semi transparent liquid and I apply it on my towel dried hairs post shampooing with Body shop rainforest moisture shampoo and butter. Since I have long and thick hairs I usually require around 2-3 pumps to completely cover my hair. It does make my hair completely frizz free and detangled. It has never weighed my hair down. I love the mild smell it leaves on my hair. After this I plop my hair for almost an hour to define my curls and hey I am ready with noticeably shinier and softer hair.

This serum is great but I don’t know why the hair stylist recommended it to my cousin post rebonding because the same serum that works so well for me makes her hair very limp and thin. Though it does detangle her hair and added shine to it. My cousin had actually stopped using this serum after using it twice because the only good thing it was doing to her hair was detangling and adding shine which she anyways had because of her recent rebonding. As a result she gifted me this product and well I found a perfect serum for my hair .

Kerastase Oleo-Relax Serum

Pros of Kerastase Oleo-Relax Serum:

1. Detangles hair and adds shine.
2. Perfect for thick curly and frizzy hair.
3. Never even caused hair fall.
4. Leaves a mild scent which I personally like.
5. Not oily as compared to other serums I have used in past.

Cons of Kerastase Oleo-Relax Serum:

1. Well price definitely is a bit on higher side.
2. It has Dimethiconol.
3. Not at all suited for rebounded hair, No matter what the expensive salons tell you because I have seen the effect of this product on rebonded hairs and trust me it’s no good.

IMBB Rating :

4/5 if you have hairs like me i.e. thick, curly and frizzy but -1 for the price.
Not at all for rebonded hair.

Would I buy it again and recommend Kerastase Oleo-Relax Serum to others?

Perhaps No because I have my eyes on a Schwarzkopf BC bonacure miracle oil.
