I am so thankful to Rati and Sanjeevji for giving me the opportunity to try out luxury products every month which were so out of my reach earlier 🙂 This shampoo in particular, Kerastase Resistance Thickening Effect Shampoo, was so on my wish list, but I never got around to pick it up. I purchased this shampoo online, couldn’t find it anywhere in the stores. Read on for more details on Kerastase Resistance Bain Volumifique Thickening Effect Shampoo and find out whether it’s worth the splurge.
Helps to create feather light volume. Apply to wet hair, massage in gently, rinse.
Rs. 1600 for 250 ml.
My Take on Kerastase Resistance Bain Volumifique Thickening Effect Shampoo:
This shampoo has amazing fragrance, smells like lotus I think. It comes in a sturdy 250 ml sturdy bottle. Considering the price, you may think 250 ml is too less, but the best thing about this shampoo is that it lathers so well that you wouldn’t need much for one-time wash. The texture is runny, spreads well, and as stated previously lathers better than the regular shampoos. I checked the ingredients list, there’s SLS but no parabens. I do not mind SLS in shampoos because it doesn’t cause much harm to the hair. I thoroughly enjoy the fragrance and I am so glad that it stays in the hair for two whole days. Also, I get squeaky clean scalp and hair after the wash and do not feel it has ripped out the moisture from my hair.
This shampoo is formulated specifically for fine hair and promises thickening effect. Personally, I like bouncy hair, so this one is perfect for me because it gives my hair a voluminizing effect without giving me woozy hair. This shampoo tames my frizzy hair and most of the times, I can skip the conditioner completely.
However, I have noticed that on heavily-oiled hair, it does not work so well. I have to go through two rinses to get the oil completely off my hair. So nowadays, I just lightly apply oil half an hour before shampooing and then rinse off.
Though this shampoo adds a little volume and bounce to my hair, by the third day, it kind of flattens and I have to definitely wash my hair; not a problem with me because I usually wash my hair on the third or fourth day.
This is a total salon effect shampoo and you would great results with blow drying and straightening. Also, this shampoo hasn’t aggravated my hair fall issue. It’s a good option for thin hair and if you are looking for a paraben-free shampoo, you can check out this variant by Kerastase.
The price might scare you off, but if you want salon-like hair, do give this a try, you would love it.
