Kerastase Specifique Bain Prevention Normalizing Frequent Use Shampoo Review

Hi Beauties,

I am back on IMBB with reviews after four years and you can expect a lot of lipstick reviews in the coming days. Today, I am back with a shampoo from Kerastase. On my last salon visit for a haircut, my stylist suggested me this shampoo. I was a bit hesitant initially, but I got this as I was really happy with the hair cut he did and I was planning to upgrade my hair care products as well. Read on to know how Kerastase Specifique Bain Prevention Normalizing Frequent Use Shampoo fared for me:

My Experience with Kerastase Specifique Bain Prevention Normalizing Frequent Use Shampoo:

This shampoo comes in a white-colored plastic bottle with a grey screw cap, the usual packaging for Kerastase. The shampoo comes in a transparent, gel-like consistency, neither thick nor runny. Just a small amount is needed as it lathers pretty well. This shampoo is really gentle on hair although it contains sodium and I am really not very sure about the “no silicone” claim.

My hair is thin and wavy and it gets really frizzy if not conditioned well, so I always used to go for shampoos which have keratin formula which makes hair smoother and frizz free. Recently, I was going through a lot of hair fall so I got this frequent use shampoo for thinning hair.

This shampoo brings back the natural texture of my hair, controls frizz making it softer and even adds some shine. It cleanses hair and scalp very well and I love how this shampoo adds some nice volume to my hair and I love the wavy curls I get. On some days, I can skip my conditioner as well. I use this shampoo and then use serum on my towel-dried hair and blow dry using the lowest heat and I love my hair. I even use this shampoo after I oil my hair, and it cleanses all the oil in the second wash.

With this shampoo, I have to shampoo my hair every alternative day. Due to the super humid hot weather and my daily travelling, my hair gets oily on the second or the third day. And I have seen a cleaner scalp can solve 80% of your hair problems. This shampoo has reduced my hair fall as well.

Pros of Kerastase Specifique Bain Prevention Normalizing Frequent Use Shampoo:

  • Controls excess hair loss.
  • Adds a bit of volume to the hair.

Cons of Kerastase Specifique Bain Prevention Normalizing Frequent Use Shampoo:

IMBB Rating:

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Kerastase Specifique Bain Prevention Normalizing Frequent Use Shampoo?
Yes, I will. This one is a good shampoo for thinning hair. I hate how most of the volume shampoos add volume to the hair and makes hair frizzy. In spite of the sulfate content, I love how it adds shine and a bit of volume to the hair and controls frizz.
