Khadi Fruit Vinegar Herbal Shampoo with Jojoba Oil Review

Khadi Fruit Vinegar Herbal Shampoo with Jojoba Oil Review

Hey girls,

I recently came across this article on IMBB while researching on what is good and bad in a shampoo here. Thus, began my search for a sulphate-free shampoo. Reading the ingredient list before purchasing a shampoo was never my criteria, but off late, after reading what these chemicals do to our hair apart from giving that temporary shine and smoothness, but ruining it in the long run, I have become much more choosy and aware now. So, I was hunting something free of sulphates and silicones and parabens, and I tell you, is not an easy task. I began looking for these up on the internet and most of them were not available at our disposal. So, I thought why not look for these in Fab India and Khadi counters, and that’s how I ended up with Khadi Fruit Vinegar Herbal Shampoo.

What Made Me Pick This Up Instantly?

After I picked the bottle, I was amazed to see fruit vinegar as the main ingredient. I have never used anything which has vinegar in a shampoo.  Of course, later with some Googling, I found out that they are excellent cleansers and are used to treat dandruff and keep the oil at bay. Read on more to find out how good it turned out.

What Khadi Fruit Vinegar Herbal Shampoo Claims?

Fruit Vinegars are natural cleansers.  They tone up the hair roots and prevent dandruff. Oil of jojoba gives hair a silky glow.

Directions To Use:

Wet hair. Apply shampoo and lather. Keep it on for 2-3 minutes and rinse.

Ingredients:

Vinegars of apple, peach, apricot, jaboranol, arnica, oil of jojoba, parabens.

Ingredients Shampoo

Price:

Rs. 130 for 210 ml.

My Take on Khadi Fruit Vinegar Herbal Shampoo with Jojoba Oil:

It comes in the usual Khadi transparent plastic bottle packaging with a black flip top cap. The shampoo is pale dusty pink in color unlike the other creamy lotion types. It looks more like a thick gel inside the bottle, but has thin watery consistency when taken out.

Herbal Shampoo 2

It smells of jasmines and something like fruit pulp, but doesn’t stay on after you wash your hair. I am not a fan or jasmine fragrance, they have always given me headaches, but this has mild jasmine fragrance which didn’t bother me at all.  It didn’t dry out my hair. I don’t have dandruff, so I can’t comment on this.

Herbal Shampoo 3

It does have a fancy ingredient list, but along with parabens.  Though it does nothing exceptionally great apart from the usual cleansing scalp, I am still not sure if this doesn’t contain any sulphates and other chemicals.  It’s just your normal shampoo minus heavy chemical ingredient list.

Herbal Shampoo 4

Pros of Khadi Fruit Vinegar Herbal Shampoo with Jojoba Oil:

  • Cleans scalp.
  • Contains fruit vinegar.
  • Easy to use and transparent bottle.

Cons of Khadi Fruit Vinegar Herbal Shampoo with Jojoba Oil:

  • Contains parabens, I am yet to find something that doesn’t have any parabens or sulphates.

IMBB Rating:

3/5.

Final Verdict:

I am yet to find something that doesn’t have any parabens or sulphates. So, I wouldn’t buy this again. I guess there are better ones from Khadi itself considering it does nothing exceptional.

  1. I have used a lot of khadi shampoos but they suddenly started giving me hairfall. Never understood the reason but I stopped using them. And over a period of time i realize that khadi is not 100% natural . sounds decent!! :))
