Today I am going to review Khadi herbal face wash Neem variant. I have oily combination skin (the T-Zone oily one). So, while browsing through the online shopping portals this product caught my fancy. The ingredient list and the fact that neem is good for acne made me purchase this one. Also, the fact that the product is from Khadi herbals was also another reason for the purchase.
Now, jumping on to the product description. The bottle has little information on it, so I collected the details online.
Product Description: Khadi herbal neem face wash is a herbal formulation that generally removes impurities and prevents pimples. Enriched with neem oil and tea tree oil.
Directions to Use: Moisten face, apply a small quantity of neem face wash. Work up lather in a circular motion. Wash off and pat dry.
Ingredients: Neem Oil, Teatree Oil , Wheatgerm Oil, Aloevera Base Q.S.
I am not sure if it is the full ingredient list or the active ingredient list.
Price: INR 120 for 210 ml.
Shelf Life: 3 years
The face wash is available in two more variants: Sandalwood and the other does not has any special name.
Talking about the packaging of the face wash, the packaging is nothing fancy, but you cannot really expect too much at this price. Somehow I like the simple bottle. The face wash comes in a plastic bottle that is see through, so you can evaluate when the product is about to finish. The packaging although simple, is sturdy. I would still not call it a travel friendly bottle since it comes in huge quantity. I couldn’t even find a smaller bottle for the same face wash online.
The cap is a little hard to work with I sometimes find it a little difficult to operate. The bottle has flip open cap which is sometimes a little difficult to open. Comparing it to other Khadi herbal products reviewed on IMBB, the experience with the cap of the bottles has been same.
The face wash is light green in colour and is not very runny. Also, the face wash lathers up well and is capable of cleaning the face perfectly well. It gives me a squeaky clean feeling. Only a small quantity is enough for the entire face. I have been using the face wash for more than a week and almost the full bottle is still left. So this bottle is going to last me for long.
The green colour of the face wash has worked as another attraction in making the purchase decision. It reminds me of neem and tea tree oil as mentioned in the ingredient list. The smell is a little overpowering but does not last long. In fact this also reminds me of all the ingredients mentioned in the list. The face wash works well to remove make up traces as well.
Pros of Khadi Herbal Face Wash- Neem
• Reasonably Priced
• Huge Quantity to finish off
• Cleans the face perfectly well
• No harmful ingredients
• Long shelf life
Cons of Khadi Herbal Face Wash- Neem
• The smell is a little overpowering
• Apart from this I can think of none
The face wash works extremely well for oily acne prone face. It helps remove make up traces as well. Helps keep oil away for almost 8-10 hours which is more than enough for me. This bottle is going to last me ages. But I am sure since no other face wash helps me keep oil away from my skin for so long, I will definitely buy this one again.
