How are you guys doing? I recently bought two products from Khadi, so today I am going to review one of them and that is Khadi herbal Massage gel- mint and aloe vera. I am diehard fan of Aloe and usually apply from natural source that is plant itself. Extracting aloe from plant is cumbersome process so thought of buying a readymade gel for those time when we are in a hurry and when I spotted this one I was convinced to pick this up as it was a blend of mint and aloe vera and you all know the benefits of these two. So let’s see how this gel worked for me.
About the product: Refreshing and relaxing with menthol blended long lasting aloe gels which can carry 32 times water and release water whenever skin needs. Pure aloe vera based gels gently exfoliate skin and with amazing healing properties. Aloe vera is an antiseptic, highly lubricant and will penetrate deep into the skin. Aloe has more than 20 minerals and almost all the vitamins. This will suit almost every skin type.
Direction to use: Apply in a circular motion on the face and neck. Wipe off with a moist cotton pad. Rinse with water and pat dry.
Packaging: The product comes in a huge tub with a black lid. It is of gel consistency and mild green in color.
Fragrance: It has fragrance of mint which is very prominent. Many people can find it disturbing but I didn’t have any problem.
Price & Quantity: INR160 for 100 grams
My take on Khadi Herbal Facial Massage Gel Mint & Aloe vera:
I take a very small amount of the gel and massage it all over my face and neck. I massaged the gel for like 5 minutes and it got absorbed in the skin. I kept it for 5 minutes and washed off the face with cold water and I could immediately see a glow on my face and skin looked so refreshed. The glow is almost temporary but the skin felt really good and soft. I felt little cooling sensation which can be due to mint or menthol. The fragrance is like menthol. I always apply this after washing my face. This didn’t break me out ever. It suits my combination-oily skin. The consistency of the gel is same as aloe vera gel which we get from the plant.
Next time I planned using this during my home facial. While doing facial at home I try to use chilled products and keep my stuff in refrigerator; actually I learned this technique from my beautician. So I did the same and kept this in the refrigerator for some time and applied it later. The gel felt so soothing and very refreshing. I believe the effect of the product increased with this method. It will be best used like this during peak summer season and we can apply it each day when we come from outside scorching sun and heat. Since then I am putting it in my refrigerator likewise. I have seen my pimples dry quicker with continuous use. I am using this gel on alternate days.
It might sting you little bit due to the menthol but that is only if you apply it very close to your eyes. I obviously take care of that. I would say the only negative about Khadi products are that they don’t mention ‘How to use’ properly.
