Hello Beautiful Ladies,
As you have already guessed from the title, today’s review is all about Khadi Herbal Fruit Exfoliating Scrub. I have been using Khadi products for like ages, and I totally love my overall experience with the brand. First, I would like to give you some insight about exfoliators, just in case you are not aware of them. It removes dead skin cells from the skin so that your skin can breathe and glow like it should. Everyone loves smooth skin- you, me, just everyone! And we tend to buy thousands of moisturisers to make sure that our skin always look smooth and hydrated! Well, exfoliator helps your moisturiser work better on your skin! It’s different from a scrub as it is usually lotion based. Exfoliator is more like your face wash – it will remove all the dirt from your face only with the added advantage of a scrub. Simply explained, an exfoliator is scrub + face wash. However, do remember, since it is also a scrub, it should not be used as your face wash – as a part of your daily wash care routine! Using your exfoliator on regular basis means that you are exfoliating your “new skin” and I am sure, you would not want to do that. No matter, how bad you think your skin is – have patience and follow the routine!
My Experience with Khadi Herbal Fruit Exfoliating Scrub:
At first, I associated this product with “chawanprash.” :D. I can’t be blamed for it. Check out the pictures – it actually looks like that! 😀 And yeah also feels like that, it’s a bit thick and sticky. Go past that, and this exfoliator might actually surprise you! I have been using this product for a good time now – over 5 months. In fact, this is my second jar/container of Khadi Herbal Fruit Exfoliating Scrub. So yeah, it would not be wrong it say that I really like this product! It just leaves my skin so smooth and hydrated – the reason – I finally thought of reviewing it and leaking my little beauty secret on IMBB :D!
The tiny scrubbing particles that it’s packed with works wonders, especially on the blackheads! (The granules are hard to see from the n*ked eye, they are really small and that is the reason you might not be able to see them in the pictures, but you will feel them, once you start using the product).
Also, this actually works on all skin types, so you can use it without any worries. I made everyone in my family test it out on their skin before writing this review 😉 😀 – and they all loved it! 😀 I would say this is one product you can use without any worries even on sensitive skin, mine is really sensitive and that is one reason I hate experimenting with a lot of products. In fact, a lot of drugstore exfoliants make my skin dry and stretchy. I did not experience much of that with Khadi Herbal Fruit Exfoliant! That is why I love this product! I guess I have already said that, but yeah it’s good and I will continue using it.
Having proclaimed my love for the product, there is, still one thing that I am not really satisfied with and that is the it’s strong smell, for me that’s a con! However, many in my family are not really bothered by the apricot and date smell, but I guess my nose is sensitive. However, I have been using this product on a regular basis and like I already said and I really like it!
Pros of Khadi Herbal Fruit Exfoliating Scrub:
- You have to use it within 24 months. If you use it two times a week, it will probably last you about 3 months or so.
- This exfoliator is packed with small granules of different sizes, perfect way to get rid of all your blackheads.
- Just a little is sufficient for one-time use.
- Enriched with Vitamin A, C and E.
- Works on all skin types.
- Reasonable price, Rs. 225 for 60 grams (yes, this is a wow factor).
- This is not just a cheap alternative to the high-end natural and herbal exfoliators that are available in the market, but the product is actually great!
Cons of Khadi Herbal Fruit Exfoliating Scrub:
- The complete ingredients list is missing – the ingredients listed on the product label are dried peaches, dates and apricots, honey, lime, apricot oil, crushed almond shell and rose water. You can check out the ingredient image in this review. However, since the product is cylindrical, it could not capture the whole image – and for this very reason, I just compiled the whole ingredient list for you guys! Hope you won’t mind!
- It has a very strong smell – a really strong smell. It will fade away eventually and might not really be a problem for many, but I just thought of listing it here, so that you know.
Apart from these two, I really can’t come up with any. Please feel to comment below and let me know what else you find a problem with in this product.
How Often We should use Khadi Herbal Fruit Exfoliating Scrub?
This totally depends on your skin type. Mostly, all exfoliators come up with the directions to use them. However, since Khadi Herbal Fruit Exfoliating Scrub does not specify any directions, I thought I should let you know specifically, how often you should be using it!
The container label reads – “Use on alternative days.” However, I would say, if you have:
Dry Skin – Use it once a week.
Oily Skin – Twice a week.
Combination Skin – Twice over a period of 10 days.
Method To Use:
Step 1 – Moisten your face
Step 2- Scoop a little exfoliator out of that jar and apply all over your face and neck.
Step 3- Massage your face and neck in circular motion (especially where all the blackheads are), for at least 5 minutes.
Step 4 – Rinse with water.
Would I Recommend Khadi Herbal Fruit Exfoliating Scrub?
Yes, works wonders on blackheads!
WARNING – Remember!, there are things that don’t suit all of us and even though this exfoliator is herbal, if you seem to develop rashes or irritation to it, please discontinue using it!
