Khadi Herbal Hair Cleanser Kesh Vardhak Herbal Shampoo Review

Hi Beautiful Ladies,

This is my first post on IMBB.  I have been following this blog for a year now and I am so much in love with it like all of you. So, I am really excited about my first post. Hope you will like it.

Khadi Herbal Hair Cleanser Kesh Vardhak Herbal Shampoo Review

I have been suffering from continuous hair fall for some time now and have tried many shampoos, but nothing helped.  It got really bad recently after using VLCC Soya Protein Shampoo. By the way, it made my hair dry too, almost like a haystack. Then, I came across this shampoo and gave it a try and trust me it works. This is my first shampoo from Khadi and it has proved to be great. The pack says it’s a herbal hair cleanser called Kesh Vardhak with brahmi and heena. It comes in the usual khadi packing; transparent bottle with the flip open cap and a white sticker indicating the product details. The shampoo is bluish grey in colour and is thick in consistency.

Price:

I got this bottle for Rs. 100 ( 210 ml).  Due to the small text, details are not clearly seen in the picture.

Product Description:

An ideal preparation for every day hair wash to promote growth of hair.

Method of Use:

Rub into wet hair, massage well into scalp and wash off.

Ingredients (in each gram):

The list also indicates the quantity of each ingredient in one gram of the product. Acacia concinna 10mg, lawsonia inermis 20mg, centella asitica 20mg, sapindus trifoliatus 120mg, base 375mg, preservatives 5mg and purified water to make one gram.  Here they have only mentioned “base,” so I don’t know if it has SLS or SLES. The list doesn’t indicate presence of silicones or parabens.  The pack says heena.

My Take on Khadi Herbal Hair Cleanser Kesh Vardhak Herbal Shampoo:

I have oily scalp and have dandruff issues and hair fall. My dermatologist told me hair fall is mostly caused by lack of proper nutrition, dandruff and other illness. So, I must maintain a clean dandruff-free scalp. For this, I have to wash my hair with oil and shampoo every other day. Here this shampoo has come to my rescue. It lathers well and gives a clean scalp, removes all the oil (since I oil my hair heavily with coconut oil, I need to use it twice while washing).

Herbal

Usually, I lose a lot of hair while rinsing and drying, but this has reduced visibly now. After washing, my hair is soft, frizz free and manageable. My hair looks healthier now. This is a wonderful shampoo and can be used daily, but guys don’t forget to use a conditioner because this might dry out the hair a bit making the hair a little rough to touch, but still not frizzy (I tried it :P) or using a good hair rinse will also help. I use green tea or neem for the final rinse.

Herbal Cleanser

Pros of Khadi Herbal Hair Cleanser Kesh Vardhak Herbal Shampoo:

  • It is a herbal shampoo, so I believe there are less chemicals. Brahmi is known to work against hair loss and dandruff and has restorative properties. It does what it claims.
  • Lathers well and removes oil.
  • It reduces hair fall, very less hair is lost while rinsing and drying.
  • Makes hair smooth, frizz free and manageable.
  • It can be used daily.
  • Great value at low price.
  • One bottle will last for a long time.

Cons of Khadi Herbal Hair Cleanser Kesh Vardhak Herbal Shampoo:

As with all Khadi products, availability might be an issue. I got it from a Khadi outlet in my locality. I have seen the same shampoo on sale online.  Use a conditioner, else it will make the hair a little dry to touch.

IMBB Rating:

It’s my wonder shampoo, so I give it a 4.5/5.

Will I Buy Khadi Herbal Hair Cleanser Kesh Vardhak Herbal Shampoo Again?

Yes!! Most definitely.  I would like to try other variants from Khadi, but I will be sticking on to Khadi shampoos. Thank you IMBB for introducing me to this wonderful brand!!  One last word guys. To tackle hair fall, it’s not just enough to use a good shampoo, eat healthy food and make sure you get a good dose of all the healthy nutrients and keep off dandruff!!!
