Khadi Herbal Shampoo Honey and Lemon Juice Review

Khadi Herbal Shampoo Honey and Lemon Juice

Hi All!

I have been using Khadi soaps since forever. I love how they look. And the way they smell is simply put- heavenly. The fact that they are super mild also worked in their favour. This time when I was back at Khadi Bhandar, I thought of trying out a couple of other products. And, this time, I bought a number of personal care products. When I saw this shampoo with Honey and Lemon Juice, I itched to try it out because both honey and lemon juice, have done great things to my hair and scalp in the past. And here is how I thought it fared.

My Experience with Khadi Herbal Shampoo Honey and Lemon Juice:

The product comes in the trademark Khadi bottle, a transparent plastic one with a black screw on cap which has a nozzle. While I am not a fan of the packaging, the pittance at which the products come, more than makes it up for the stark looks. The shampoo is a yellow coloured gel of very thick consistency, It smells like Strepsils to me, mild, sweet, comforting. Each time I flip the cap open I am tempted to taste it. Before describing how it fared on my scalp, let me describe my hair type. My scalp is oily and dandruff prone and I am also suffering from severe hair-loss. Now, I use about two coin sized quantity for my shoulder length hair. I wet my hair, dilute the shampoo and massage it on to my scalp. It lathers pretty well. It does nothing for the hair-loss. My hair falls in bunches when I am washing them, as before. My scalp feels clean, though. I tried washing my oiled hair and I had to use a little bit more of the product than I would normally use. I thought that since the shampoo contains lemon juice, it might work on the dandruff on my scalp. But I was disappointed. My dandruff problem remained the same as it was before I started using this shampoo.

Honey is said to be moisturizing in nature. But this shampoo if anything, dried my hair and made it frizzy. My hair feels scratchy and even the use of conditioner does nothing to salvage the problem. It is only after I apply a serum that my hair becomes a little manageable. It doesn’t do either any good or any harm. I don’t see myself recommending this shampoo to anyone. In fact I myself have discontinued using it.
