Recently I posted a DIY to curb dandruff, which I have been prone to since a while now. I got this herbal shampoo from Khadi that is formulated without sulphates and parabens, and priced higher than the others. Apart from the shampoo regime I also try to inculcate some habits like doing hair packs. Let us jump to see how this shampoo fared for me.

My Experience with Khadi Herbal Shampoo Neem & Aloevera for Preventing Dandruff:
Packaging: I recently found some new packaging by Khadi through reviews on IMBB, but I guess they haven’t revamped all of it from the range. This again, is like any other Khadi bottle, which you can recognize from a mile away 😀 . It is a transparent plastic bottle with a black flip cap both of which are sturdy enough. This is not quite travel friendly, since it is bulky and the cap may come open.
Color and fragrance: The color of the shampoo is pale green with some silver sheen to it. It has a mild herbal-y aroma, which is not bothersome.
Performance: I really love the ingredient list even though complete list is not given. It is said to fight dandruff and flaky scalp both of which are my major concerns at the moment. Other than that I have dry and frizzy hair. My hair and skin does not stick to a particular product, hence I need to keep switching them often. I am so glad that I got this one at a fair discount that too when I was looking for one! This happens rarely to me. 😀
I used this shampoo after oil application; it lathers really well and removes most of the oil content in a single rinse. For complete oil removal I have to rinse it twice. After the first wash, the itchiness of the scalp reduced, but it reappeared after three days of shampooing. It removed dandruff to an extent and recued the flakiness too. With regular use I believe the dandruff will disappear. It did not do anything for my dry hair, and my scalp did not feel nourished. I am glad that it is SLS and paraben free even though I had to dig out the extra bucks for it. It is a good shampoo that effectively removes dandruff and a decent scalp cleanser.
Pros of Khadi Herbal Shampoo Neem & Aloevera for Preventing Dandruff:

- A very good herbal ingredient list.
- SLS and Paraben free!
- An effective scalp cleanser.
- Removes dandruff with regular use.
- Reduces itchiness of the scalp.

Cons of Khadi Herbal Shampoo Neem & Aloevera for Preventing Dandruff:
- Did not do anything for my dry hair.
- Requires a conditioner post shampoo.
Would I recommend/repurchase Khadi Herbal Shampoo Neem & Aloevera for Preventing Dandruff?
I would recommend this to those who are facing issues with dandruff as it works effectively from the first wash. It is also a good scalp cleanser. You won’t regret the extra bucks trust me. I would think about getting this again when I am having dandruff troubles in the coming days (I guess this shampoo won’t allow it to! Haha).
