Khadi Lavender and Basil Bath Salt Review

Hi dolls,

I am planning to review a lot of products this month and I am starting off with this one. I am in love with long, relaxing showers these days. I have to travel a lot to reach my institute, so after getting back to home, I love spending some time in the shower to relax my mind and body. I have added many shower gels, body scrubs, lotions and oils to my kitty. This is the first bath salt that I am trying. I was tempted to know about the body calming property of bath salts and gave this one a try. Read on to know if this worked for me!

Packaging: The product comes in a very basic, transparent plastic tub packaging with a wide opening. The lid is made of tin and it closes tightly. Beneath it, there is an aluminum sheet that you would have to remove. The product details, ingredients, and instructions are mentioned on the container. The packaging is pretty travel-friendly. There is nothing luxurious about it and considering the price, you cannot expect that either.

Consistency and Fragrance: The product looks like coarse salt granules, which appear a little wet probably due to the presence of oils and glycerin. However, the product is not clumped. You can find tiny fragments of basil leaves too if you look carefully. The salt is dark brown in color. However, it does not change the color of water when mixed. The granules take 1-2 minutes to mix in the water.

Khadi Lavender and Basil Bath Salt Review Open Cap

I had no idea how sea salt should smell or feel like, before using this one. As soon as I opened the product, I got the strong aroma of lavender. The smell is really very strong and if you are a fan of mild fragrance, you may not feel okay with the smell of the dry product. My mother mentioned that she could also sense the aroma of basil but for me, the lavender fragrance overpowered everything else. The fragrance is very refreshing for me and it gets milder when I mix it with water. Overall, I am a big fan of the fragrance.

Relaxing Property: I had no idea how bath-salt works and I love the way it worked for me. I usually mix it in a bucket full of water and use it after the end of the shower, that is after washing off the shower gel and scrub. The water feels mild and refreshing on the skin. It gives a very soothing, thin veil of moisture to your skin and you will definitely love that. It relaxes the body and if you have a sore body after a long tiring day at work, this will help your muscles to relax. The product has antibacterial properties too. I suffer from body acne at times due to clogged pores. I hope that the antibacterial properties of this product will help to deal with it.
