Khadi Saffron Lip Balm Review

Hello ladies,

Generally, when I try a product from a particular brand and if I like it, I keep going back and try more products from the same brand until I get bored, and then move on. So right now, I am in a phase where I love Khadi products. I have not tried any of its facial creams as I am very skeptical of trying new stuff on my face. I am very addicted and dedicated to my anti-ageing range, which I have been using for the past 3 years now.  So, I am trying their lip balms in full swing.

My Experience with Khadi Saffron Lip Balm:

What caught my attention was the mention of “saffron” in it.  I have heard a lot about how wonderful saffron as an ingredient works in cosmetics – be it creams, lotions or face wash. The idea of saffron in a lip balm excited me. The color is an amazing fresh lemon yellow. The consistency is better than petroleum jellies. The texture of the lip balm is very soft and creamy.

Khadi Saffron Lip Balm

Application is easy as the lip balm spreads effortlessly on the lips. I am not very sure how saffron should smell, but this lip balm definitely smells much more than just saffron. It has a very strong flowery scent that puts me off. Again, since the fragrance stays on for some time, I get the feeling that I would end up with a headache. I think this happens particularly with me as I cannot take things that smell flowery.

Khadi Saffron Lip Balm

This lip balm is neither too greasy nor too glossy and feels extremely light on the lips. Saffron is very hydrating and moisturizes the lips for around 3 hours before a second application is required. Again, it is not very effective on chapped lips. It’s definitely an unhygienic packaging since every time we have to use our fingers to take the product out and apply. These lip balms although colored do not give any tint to the lips and do not cover any pigmentation.

Pros of Khadi Saffron Lip Balm:

  • Mostly herbal ingredients.
  • Creamy texture.
  • Non greasy.
  • Smooth application.
  • Light on lips.
  • Hydrating.
  • Travel friendly.
  • Very affordable.
  • Easy availability.

Cons of Khadi Saffron Lip Balm:

  • Using fingers every time for application is unhygienic.
  • Does not work on chapped lips..
  • No mention of any SPF.
  • Strong flowery smell can be a con for people who have sensitive nose.

Would I Repurchase Khadi Saffron Lip Balm?

No, I don’t think I might be able to finish this one any time sooner.
