Khadi Sandal and Olive Nourishing Cream

Khadi Sandal and Olive Nourishing Cream

Hey Women,

Khadi Sandal and Olive Nourishing Cream

This is one more review from my recently-found love of Khadi products. Khadi brand comes under Gram-udyog and is kind of owned by Government of India which is why its products are affordable and genuine in nature. I really feel the products are better than many of its peers.  We can use some of its products regularly and can even make them our HGs! I was on the lookout for a good nourishing cream in the daytime after my TBS Vitamin C cream ditched me so badly. This time, I thought I would go desi and hence picked this one up. I must say I am very satisfied with the cream.

Product Description:

An enriched formula to make the skin look refined and revitalized with an improved texture and tone. Clears away the dead surface cells. Purifies the skin. It’s a light and non greasy daily use cream that provides all day moisturizing, nourishment and protection.

Rs. 100 for 60 gms.

Sandal Oil, Olive Oil, Wheatgerm Oil, almond Oil, Aloe Vera.

My Take on Khadi Sandal and Olive Nourishing Cream:

I would begin the review with a simple sentence that “I like the cream.”  It is indeed quite moisturizing, but not greasy. It does not leave a shiny layer on your face unlike many other moisturizing creams and nor does it feel heavy on face. The cream carries a mild sandalwood scent to it which is not at all overwhelming.

The scent lasts for a good amount of time and that is actually a good thing.  I would say the cream is also apt for using in the summers, though initially, I had a doubt about its usability in the hot season. But I use it often in summer season and I think it works pretty well. I sit in an AC environment whole day and I realized that my skin was losing out a lot of moisture due to the AC and thus I decided to use some good moisturizing cream.

Though its texture is like a thick cream, but it gets absorbed quickly in the skin and also blends well on the face. I have dry skin and I find it suitable for hot, humid weather, but beauties with oily skin may have to test it before using.  This one tub should last many months easily as just a little bit of cream is sufficient for one-time use and I do not feel the need of re-applying.

In the pictures below, you can see the swatch. See how conveniently the cream blends in the skin.

Pros of Khadi Sandal and Olive Nourishing Cream:

  • Quite moisturizing.
  • Suitable for summer.
  • Gets absorbed easily.
  • Smells nice.
  • Handy packaging.
  • Does not make face look oily, greasy or heavy; though the cream is not light as many other of its peers but it is also not heavy like many other face creams.

Cons of Khadi Sandal and Olive Nourishing Cream:

  • Nothing major.

Overall Verdict:

It is a product worth trying out.

  1. Hey Surabhi 🙂 nice review…some how i have never been impressed by Khadi skin care products…i recently tried their strawberry soap and pineapple soap…both turned out to be duds 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 they smelt like some rotten fruit 🙁 🙁 and i jus had to put them in trash 🙁 🙁 🙁 have you tried their soaps ????

    1. sad Madhu.. you didnt like their soaps. I have used their vanilla soap and I quite liked it. It didnt smell heavenly but it was a mild, non-drying soap. I was very happy with it. And this cream is also nice.

  2. Nice review, Surabhi. I think this must be one of the dozens of new products that Khadi seems to have introduced. I will keep it in mind and check it out after the summer is over. 😀

  3. thanx for d review. I tried d cream for a wk after reading ur review and it smells of true sandalwood, really like it, but it BROKE ME OUT! All over my face I had acne & pimples. Now I hv stopped using it & they r already subsiding.
Also every time I applied it, it gave an unbearably burning sensation on my face!
So its not for my acne-prone, combination dry, sensitive skin.
