Khadi Trifala Hair Oil Review

Khadi Trifala Hair Oil

Hey girls!

I came across this hair oil online while searching for trifala centered hair oils as my hair tends to fall easily and trifala is an effective ingredient to keep such problems at bay. I was introduced to khadi by IMBB and after going through the reviews of khadi face scrubs, shampoos and other stuff, I was sure of purchasing this product.

Claim: Khadi trifala hair oil is useful for dandruff and hair, skin diseases. It removes mental tension and hair fall in younger age.

Khadi Trifala Hair Oil

Price: Rs. 180.

My experience with Khadi Trifala Hair Oil:

The oil is a dark green coloured liquid that has water like consistency. It certainly is oily, but very light at being that. The water like consistency makes the liquid very runny making it difficult to keep within the boundaries of your palm. In fact, mostly since even a tiny amount travels through the lines of your palm like rivers and end up on or at your feet!

However, this consistency makes the oil light and thus; your hair will not feel greasy, heavy and on the whole irritating. You could put as much of oil as you want without getting it a greasy mess. The consistency allows for fast absorption at the roots as well, so you need not keep it on for an entire night, but for a few hours or so. Yes, about an hour or two will do the work. It will nourish your roots, the cuticles and the ends leaving them soft to touch and shiny to see. It also smoothes out frizz well making hair smooth and manageable. It manages hair fall as well, as the product claims. Thus, this product is ideal for people on the go, who want the same result as would have been in long-term fit within a short period of time. However, the product tends to cause quite an amount of hair fall while washing it out. Then again, that happens mostly when you wash your hair after an oil massage. The oil smells like your standard trifala oil, which I am not very fond of, but do not hate as well. It also has a cooling effect on the scalp after application which is much required in this hot summer!

Khadi Trifala HairOil

The packaging is the standard, simple khadi packaging; however this oil is encased in a translucent black bottle. The bottle and the cap are extremely ineffective. Then again, most khadi products suffer from the same. You can see in the picture how the oil has leaked to end up on my table and I had it laid for just a few seconds for the purpose of getting a shot. The bottle gets messy right after the first use. The liquid travels here and there all over the bottle and its dark green colour ruins the outlook completely. The bottle leaks at the slightest tilt, making the bottle a horrible mess to touch. It gets all yucky and oily and dirty and I just cannot stand such mess.

Pros of Khadi Trifala Hair Oil:

1. Makes hair smooth, manageable, shiny, soft and nourished.
2. Reduces hair fall.
3. Cools scalp which is a bonus in this heat!
4. Absorbs very fast.
5. Does not cause a greasy scalp or hair.

Cons of Khadi Trifala Hair Oil:

1. Runny consistence makes it hard to apply without spilling some here and there.
2. The smell is not very appealing.
3. The packaging is dissatisfactory.

  1. If this stops hair fall then it is really great. I will pick it up.. May be u can transfer it into an airtight bottle as it stops hair-fall which many oils at this price range fail to do so. 🙂
